well ? hows school so far?

I know a lot of you have been back to school, not surte about all of you but for those of you that are in school now .. hows it going??
My daughter just started 9th grade high school, she is loving it!!, this year she took french, ( had half a year of it last year) and plans on doing another year of this language and then going on to spanish. she wants 2 languages under her belt to be able to travel later on in her life . How bout you all hows it going in classes so far?

I'm a freshman at a two year college. For now! haha I'm loving it. My professors are great and the community college campus is wonderfully easy to navigate and everyone is just nice. I enjoy the homework too. *GASP* What'd she say?!

This is my last course until I get my Arts and Humanities Degree. The course I am taking is math, (Geometry, Statistics, etc.)

So far, my first week was bad. Not because of the content but because I already missed a class! Not on purpose, on accident.

You see, class is only 80 minutes on tuesday and thursday mornings and meaats at 9am. I live 30 minutes away from the satelite campus I attend and take about 15-20 minutes getting ready.

Well, what happened on Thursday was that I guess I accidentally set my alarm for 7:50 PM rather than AM. So my dad woke me up around 9AM asking if I had class today! I frantically got up and tried to get ready. But then I realized that even if I showed up late, I would still be about 50 minutes late and would have missed more than half the class! I hate being rude and disrupting things. I don't think the teacher would have appreciated me coming in so late. So i decided not to go and that I will start again fresh next week.

But she did give us a list of our homework assignments for the semester, so I still did do my homework and really want to pass this class.

People who get 0 absences get 10 points added to their final. People who miss one class get 8 points added, people who miss two get 6 points added, people with more unexcused absences than 2 are dropped with an F.

Yikes sorry bout the missed class Jeff. So what are you going to do with an Arts and Humanities Degree ? what feild does one go into with this degree?

Oo sorry about that missed class! That's happened to me before It sucks. But I only did it in High School. But the year is young.. just wait.


I'm gonna get an associates degree in Police Science and transfer to a U for a major in Psych and minor in Criminology.

Started again today. I'm a junior now! (high school junior). Everything went pretty well, I have some awesome teachers and some...uh...yeah wierd teachers. It was really awkward though because i'm in charge of a class here (its a student run broadcast journalism class) and i had nothing prepared to talk about so it was interesting.
Its good that your daughter is interested in two languages! I'v been taking spanish (which by the way is an easy a) and tried learning both hebrew and french at the same time.
Bad idea. Hopefully she does better than me!
