How fast can u run the mile?

I know this girl with some 'problems' in her life (no not that kind of problem, like she is emo). and we were running the mile and im doing like 7:43 and she is skipping the mile and got a 25:00. That is what you get for laying in the mulch during lunch. but i do pretty good in the presidential test, but i really dont like the pull ups, everything else is all ok

This year I got 8:51 for many factors. My P.E. teacher makes us run in a not so friendly kind of terrain. We have hills, tall grass, wet grass, mud, big trees, branches, sidewalks, concrete, roots sticking out of the ground..but at least I did good, eh?

Anyways, I incredibly increased in my running. The year before I got my record of 7:41, I got 10:30 and 11:15 (Yes, they made us run the mile twice -_-). So, I increased my running by about 3 minutes or so. I was also very surprised by just increasing my abilities and then all of a sudden making it into Cross Country.

ha..the mile...i'm so not a runner...but i've done it in 7:34

My fastest mile time was 5:30 but currently because I am out of shape I can run 6:15-6:00.

the mile..well i hate it so much! Whenever i'm running for a long time, i start to breath heavily and get all these terrible cramps but i can manage to do it in a little less than 8 minutes

LOL this year i got 11:01 >_< i was like come on take that extra second off lol. I'm with virtual_pirategirl. Start breathing heavily lol and no cramps just short of breath very quick.

No, they don't make us play a sport, and i'm a little upset i missed out on P.E.

...guess my school is not very health conscious :l reminds me of a quote from a movie...

I'm not sure it is a health thing, I think they just want out teams to do semi-good! We need as many athletes as possible playing. We do have some very athletic people at my school. A friend of mine on the team is the national junior lifeguards champion for the Rescue Swim. You swim out with a rescue can, grap a person, and pull them in. It is hard to get use to, but I have gotten pretty good. I can put the can on with one hand and one quick motion. Another girl is the champion for the Junior Guards Swimming Relay. A guy who graduated last year was a proffesional snowboarder. And one of my closest friends was in sports illustrated for kids.

And I hate to point this out to you, but if you averaged out your "6 or 7" minute mile with 1.5 miles against the fastest women's approximately 4:13...I think you information maybe a liiiiiiiiiiittle exagerrated aka false.

Sorry to generalize but I made a miscommunication. I didn't mean in the world, the country, the state, the city, the school, or even P.E. I meant that I was the second fastest girl in the class.

Im trying not to do the mile this year. it is too stressful as it is, with the whole peer pressure and seeing who is fast and who sucks at life, but also im afraid im gonna have a seizure (spelling?) or my chest will start to feel very strange, signs of chest pain. im gonna make up a story...
"mom. as you know last year i ran the mile. well, i start ed to get chest pains the next few days (no i didn't) which, asfter checking on the internet out of my own paranioa, can lead to chronic chest pains, chest peoblems, chronic (i <3 that word!) breathing difficulties, and possible strokes later in life. i am nervoues for my health, and if you dont make me run the mile and leme live to the age of at least 30 i promise to let you stay with me and ill take care of you in your aging and alzheimer-infested years . also, you always worry about having to bury your own son befroe you die, so i would appreciate the extra 50 years if i do not have to run this thing next month."
how's that for an excuse! i could get my health/medical teacher to believe that! (except for the caring during alzheimer age and burying their son part )
