Re: Have you ever participated in a School Play before?

I was Norman Bulansky in "The Boys Next Door" and Bruno Martelli in "Fame."

Both were in my senior year when I decided that I was going to try different things that I hadn't yet experienced in my high school career. I had a lot of fun and wished that I had tried out for plays sooner.

Re: Have you ever participated in a School Play before?

I have been in quite a lot. I was a puppet in The Sound of Music, and an orphan in Annie. I had a role in two skits that weren't very big, but a show nonetheless. I was preparing for a western, but it was cancelled. Then I had one where I got the lead as a business-woman. The next was a short scene from Steel Magnolias. Now I am working on a play where I have a main role. I also was in a movie, but I can't say the name. I really love acting and want to do more. Woo! 700 posts!

Re: Have you ever participated in a School Play before?

Yes. The first one was called 'The 13 Clocks' and it was the stupidest thing in the world. But I botched up my lines big time and I couldn't figure out why I got such a big laugh. My line was supposed to be "But there is no thorny boar of Borythorn." I had it right for the first two performances, but then the Saturday Night performance happens and I said, "But there is no Horny Boar of Borythorn." What a laugh -on stage and off.

The second was "You Can't Take It With You" - I played Mr. Kirby. This is also a movie with James Stewart from the late 1930's. I recommend viewing it.

no, the stupidest play in the world was "shakepeare meets monty python and gives shakespeare a noogie." it was a parody of Hamlet, and was the dumbest play i have ever worked on -_-

Re: Have you ever participated in a School Play before?

I have been involved in a couple, both middle and high school.
In Middle School i was joe Harper in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
and I Was in You're a good man Charlie Brown
In HIgh school my two first years I was a Cadet in Seussical the Musical (that was the most most fun I have ever had with a show)
and I was a reporter in Side Show (Terribly depressing play about Siamese Twins)

Next year we are planning to do HIgh School Musical, our director says she has the rights from Disney. I'm excitedbecause it will be a fun show to be in, not nessecarily because i like the show itself.

Re: Have you ever participated in a School Play before?

I was in Anne of Green Gables as Anne, Sleepy Hallow as Wilda von Twiller, and The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy. Haven't done any plays in a while, since projections is gone, but hey, my sister's and I all had the leads in our 9th grade plays in junior high.

that happens to me, but i just calm myself before i go up to perform... it seems like whenever you are in front of people, even reciting a poem, you get scared, and you turn red... i hate when that happens, but i will not be seen from that close, so no one will see my redness as i scream 'Plays Suck!' in front of the audience

I get that way too if I'm doing a speech in class, but it doesn't affect me at all onstage, I've done at least 20 productions
