RIP Joannie

Well, I just found out that my best friend committed suicide.
We had known each other since before kindergarten and have been best friends forever.
Today seems to be creeping by.
I thought I'd post it on here to get it off my chest.
She was being bullied and harassed by some college kids and couldn't take it anymore.
She was going to a counciler to try to work things out but I guess it was too late.
Her parents found her at 10:00a.m this morning; she hung herself in her room.
Only 17 - her birthday was tomorrow.
R.I.P Joannie

At least she's happier now.

I'll go post in some more threads now - I don't want to stew over this.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I went through a similar situation when I was in high school. It's good that you're reaching out to others and not keeping it bottled up inside. You know the MiceChat family is always here for support.

This is very disconcerting news. It's always tragic when someone, especially someone so young, takes their own life. My prayers and thoughts are with you and yours.

I'm so very sorry, I hope that you will be ok and the same to her family. My boyfriend lost someone really close to him latley and he is doing very well and I hope that you do too.

Wow. I went through the same thing and same thoughts, but there's no way I would have mustered that. I'm so sorry. Thoughts go out to her family. I know that talking to a 14 year old about this is odd, but I was there a few years ago and I will be on AIM if you need me.
