WOW!!! Tokyo DisneySea is really amazing. Can't wait to see more pictures especially of the Disneyland Park. Just have been to DLRP which has a very well themed Magic Kingdom, but it seems that DisneySea is a little bit better themed.
A lot better IMHO... but DLP is a fabulously themed park as well.
Day 1- Tokyo Disney Seas
We started our first day off at the park I had been anticipating the most, TDS! We got there about 45 minutes early and it was already busy. We were about 40 people deep in the line and we waited
10 minutes before the gates come up and the characters come out to excite everyone, WOW! The Japanese LOVE there Characters they all go nuts!!
Once in Everyone runs through the beautiful plaza towards Tower of Terror, We being the tourists we are take pictures and walk under the Mira Coasta and BAM!! The first sight of TDS Mediterranean Harbour… AMAZING
(It is truly breathtaking, after all the pictures I’ve seen I was still in awe. We get some photos taken then run off to go on Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
Journey is amazing! It’s the technology of Test track going through all these levels of the earth’s core and then of course something goes wrong!
Inside was great everything is SO DETAILED!
We took advantage of Fastpass and grabbed a couple for Journey to come back later. Then we went to Check on Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull, was broken down
So we went onto Raging Spirits, which was really fun, was expecting it to be really bumpy but was smooth and the theme was great. Had a really funny experience we went to ask about single rider as we didn’t want to wait. The CM was great came up with a English form asking us to come backstage to make sure we would fit in the restraints: -P she showed us out there and we did fit! Then we went back and she took us through the exit and put us straight on the ride got the front row together! (as my friend was too scared to go on, she did go on later though!!)
Next up we just walked around a bit to soak it all in, we went to Mermaid Lagoon and watched the Little mermaid show which was really surprising as its in the round and everything is done from the roof giving a great feel of being in the sea
Then we went to Port Discovery, and rode Aquatopia. Which was crazy, and fun and uses GPS instead of track.
After this we wandered through American Waterfront and took it all in. This area, is beautiful we really enjoyed this area.
Then Mum and I went on Tower of Terror. THIS IS THE BEST ONE! The story has nothing to do with the Twilight zone, but the story is so cohesive and fascinating we loved it. And the theming is just crazy you can’t look anywhere and not find some little detail.
After Tower we Met up with Rachel and went and had Lunch at the Cape cod Cook off which has a great Donald Duck show that runs. And as Donald is my Favourite I really enjoyed this. And got the special lunch set with the Donald duck Lunch Box :-P
After Lunch we went and got a spot to watch Legend of Mythica from, we waited for about 45 mins and was glad we did. This show is just so enjoyable. And the music was great! There are a couple of pics above will be more soon. I cannot say enough good things about this show it was truly mesmerising!
Now I’ve said it before but I usually am not a fan of Shows and Parades in parks (exception being Fantasmic and Fireworks) But TDR converted me there parades were so good! And I didn’t mind waiting an hour to have that great spot. Their CM’s do a phenomenal job brining these lavish parades to life! And the Day and Night Water Shows at TDS were just breathtaking these were defiantly my favourite.
After Mythica we went back to ride Journey and then went off to Ride Indiana. Which was very similar to DL just a different theme and some added effects that really perfect this ride one of the greatest was the Smoke ring effect. Really wish DL would get this!
Then we went to look through the Arabian Coast as we still hadn’t looked through it. This Port was so cool! I love Aladdin it’s my favourite animated film, so I was easily pleased. We rode Sinbad’s Storybook Vogue. This is like Small world with a story. I enjoyed it I think Rachel wanted to Kill me by the end the music is like Small World too. I am still singing it VERY Catchy, even if it is in Japanese.
Oh how I loved seeing all my favourite rides and characters in Japanese too was great to hear it a new way especially since we already knew what they were saying even though we don’t speak Japanese.
Also you haven’t lived till you hear Chip and Dale in Japanese HILARIOUS!!
They also have games of skill in this area with area specific themed prizes like I won a giant Arabian dressed Donald Duck!
Well the day had been crazy busy and we were starting to get tired. So we went and ate then watched Big Band Beat
This show was amazing. Any show with Mickey doing crazy dance moves and a killer drum solo has me sold. Once again it was an A+ show I can see why it was so popular.
Now it was about 7pm so we went back to the same spot to wait for the night time show of BraviSEAmo! And I got some Strawberry Popcorn.
A Side note, TDR is King of Popcorn Black Pepper, Cappuccino, Sea Salt, Caramel, Honey, Chocolate, Curry! Ah we ate so much popcorn my favourite had to be Curry and Strawberry.
While waiting I played with my camera (Canon EOS 400D)
And got some great pics of all the great lighting (will post more soon)
Then the Show started which tells the story of The fire God and Water God finding each other and falling in love a beautiful score compliments this visually amazing show to the tee.
After the show complete we thought to go ride a couple of last rides, but we were just too tired to go on! Between a bit of sun burn (always remember to REAPPLY Sun screen!) and just a jam packed day we decided it best to go home and get a good rest as we knew the next day was going to be insanely busy at Tokyo Disneyland,
Will work on uploading some more pics to go with today, tomorrow then hopefully get to day 2 this weekend. Sorry about no pics. The Internet is not my friend and brother is playing online games and doesn’t seem to want to let me upload too ☹
Lovely report! It sure brings back a lot of fond memories. I'm happy to see you had such a good time there. I agree with you and TDLFAN, the Tokyo Disney Resort is absolutely the best of all Disney resorts. I'm going back in November, and your report got me even more excited about the trip! Can't wait to try that chocolate popcorn again
