Trip Report Trip Report : 7 Sept 08 to 11 Sept 08

Hi all, this is my trip report for my TDR adventure from 7th Sept to 11 Sept.

Sorry it took so long. This might be pics intensive so be warned.

I was staying at the Grand Prince New Takanawa on the 7th, so I need to make my way to the disney ambassador. So, I made a booking on the good neighbour bus.

We were the only ones on the bus, as it was the 11.45am bus.

As there was no traffic, we reached TDR in about 30 mins.

Whoppee !!

The bus dropped us off at the TDL transportation center, and we waited for the Disney Cruiser to the Ambassador. We did not have to wait long.

Lots of hidden mickeys on the bus outside and inside.

There were actually quite a few versions of the cruisers, so many I would post more pictures of the interior later.

The driver were very nice and helped us with our luggages, although there is no luggage compartment on the bus. It helped that it was in the middle of the day and there wasn't a crowd waiting for the bus.

So after a short journey passing Ikspiari, we reached the Ambassador.

Considered the "cheapest" Disney hotel, the level of service and comfort is equivalent of many 5/6 star hotels. The lifts had Mickey's voice announcing the floors. It's close to Ikspiari for your shopping needs. There are frequent buses to TDL and TDS. And the pleasant staff would help you with all your needs. I would love to come back to the hotel again, but I would need to try the other Disney hotels first.

We could not check in yet, so we went for a walk in Ikspiari.

The Disney Store.

Then we took the disney resort line around TDR

Look hidden Mickey at the car park lot !

We enjoyed it so much, esp my son, that we took the monorail for 3 rounds.

He got to sit in the front.

Great report so far, and can't wait for more of your comments and pics.. The hidden Mickey madeof traffic cones is a surprise. I have not seen that done yet. It's another example of TDR's cast ingenuity and pride. My favorite line on this Tp so far...about the Ambassador Hotel:

That comment pretty much sums up the entire experience at TDR. This same sense of quality is evident not only at the hotels but in every aspect of the resort.

So, we went for a walk at the New Tokyo Disneyland hotel and fell in love with it. It's so grand and full of disney touches. Lots of people there too.

The front drive had statues and decorations theme to Fantasia. Here's the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

It was time to check in, so we headed back to the Ambassador. The friendly staff helped bring the luggages up to our room.

Lots of amnemities including slippers, pyjammas, and mickey-themed toiletries.

Best of all, when we got back from the parks every night, we found a towel animal waiting for us. At the end of our stay, there were all together 3.

It shows the extra care and touch even the housekeeping staff made to give guests that extra disney magic and make it an unforgettable trip.

Hey, do they sell that princess fabric print, by chance or is it one of those exclusive to the hotel and not available for the public things?
