After the 25th Anniversary

My apologies if this has already been asked. What, if anything, is going on at TDL once the 25th Anniversary ends in April? Will the current entertainment offerings continue such as the Jubilation parade?

Most probably, but without the references to the 25th anniversary. There also were rumors of a Monsters Inc event but I have not heard anything official. I know TDS will once again hold "Spring Carnival" from 4/22nd.

With the 20th Anniversary, Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters opened on April 15th, the 21st Anniversary, with no special event. During the summer, TDL held the Buzz Lightyear's Big Mission event (June 14 to August 31, 2004).

With the Monster's, Inc. Ride and Go Seek opening for the 26th Anniversary, my guess is that they won't have an event planned right away. The TDR event calender has two unnamed 'programs' at TDL and TDS from July 8th to August 31st. At least for TDL, there could be a summer/water Monster's, Inc. event like they did with Buzz Lightyear.

Of course, both of these are probably the Cool the Heat/Cool Service events like the past years.

it's sad to think the 25th anniversary will be over in a little more than two weeks.

The "Unnamed Events" are the summertime events they've had for the last couple of years.

Thanks, Joe I assumed it would be those summertime events, but I was thinking that one of them could have possible been Monster, Inc. themed with a water type parade like Buzz Lightyear's Big Mission. At least, I think I remember something shooting water during that parade. It's been too long.

Is it bad to hope that Starlight Dreams comes back again, minus the 25th references? I really, really liked that show.

I would be shocked if they brought "Starlight Dreams" back this summer, considering the entire show is available on DVD for purchase. Then again.. who knows?

As for the night time Monsters Event.. I can envision a night time show in which the use of flashlights will be quite prominent..

That is correct. Both "Starlight Dreams and "Table is waiting" shows are being sold on DVD in their entirety. You can get this dvd by itself, or in a boxed set with the 25th anniversary dvd than has highlights of all the shows and events during the 25th anniversary year, which includes highlights from the 25th anniversary opening day ceremony and throughout the 25th year.. including a very generous segment of the "Grand Finale" shows that are still playing at both parks until april 14th. It's the ultimate 25th anniversary souvenir and a must have dvd for any Disney park afficionado. It's also avail on Blue ray format.

Since it is a night time Monster's event, I think you nailed this one since it would be a good cross promotion with the new attraction. I wonder if they'll sell a flashlight at the shops like they do with the Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters laser guns.

The flashlight is there in several varieties, from mobile-phone-sized working penlight, to a full-sized working flashlight. There's even a new character named Rocky! Anybody know if he's exclusive to Tokyo? Forgive my ignorance, but I've never seen him before. My favorite is all the sushi stuff from "Harry Hausen's!" So appropriate from Japan, right!^^ Unfortunately, that stuff's not really featured on the link below.

Rocky is a character created by Pixar for the TDL attraction and OLC hopes everyone buys a lot of Rocky merchandise. Hehehe.
