January is an excellant time to go. When i went for two weeks in japan and two days at the resort. the two days at the resort were amazing and lines were not bad at all. The longest we waited for a ride at TDL was 45 minutes for PHH and at TDS HTH for 30 minutes. The only downside it is really cold at night but i didn't let it ruin my trip.

The first time I went to TDR was in January and I had a great time. It was super cold, but more than a few people told me that I was lucky that the park wasn't crowded. We only waited two hours for Winnie the Pooh. I guess that means the park wasn't busy.
But it was a really good time and I'd go to TDR in any season.
do you guys think january 3-10 is a good time to go or not?
BAD IDEA. The first week of january is a holiday in Japan and TDR celebrates the "New Year Holiday" events on that week. It is very crowded and quite popular with guests. However on the plus side, this is the only time of the year when TDR turns "japanese" with many japanese style decorations, characters in their finest japanese attire and special shows and greeting.. But it will be crowded at both TDL and TDS.
If you do not want to go when crowded, from the 2nd week of January thru early march is a better time.. but beware, it's very cold at that time of the year, there could be many closures of attractions for rehab, many facades gets facelifts.. but like some have already said.. it's definitely the most quiet time to visit.. However, I do not recommend it. You can still get a better deal going in late april and in June, when the crowds are manageable and the weather is much better. June however.. is rainy season, and you might have to deal with showers everyso often. However, I went there yesterday and we had a lovely sunny day for the most part.
