And it's not cheap eather.. as an adult ticket for a party that lasts from 7pm till midnight will set you back $59 plus tax! A day admission to TDL during the halloween days is just a few cents above that party price!!! It's armed robbery if you ask me!!!
WHOA! I understand your frustration with WDW more and more, TDLFAN. That's just inexcusable. It's sad given what Disney's industry is - dealing in dreams - that they would overcharge like that just because they can. They know people will pay it. *sigh* That's what I've always thought about Disney to be honest. I wish I hadn't seen your other reply about the Dream Key. I like believing that OLC runs its business differently, and kind of independently.

It's Halloween already?! Man, how time flies. I'm still waiting to see if any videos from this year's version of C&D's Cool Service have popped up yet or not.

Zeek, I hope you can find videos of "Cool service Deluxe" on YouTube. That was a fun show on the lagoon this year. The show CD is fun too.

Lucky for you, Zeek, I've been sick and YouTube surfing most of the day.^^ I suppose technically this is off-topic, but hopefully no one will mind:

1/2

2/2

Just to keep us sort of on topic, I also found this eerily haunting video by Ichigopara:

And finally, for those who (like me) may have missed this, here's a short film of ToT's backstory. I wonder where this is from? It's too long to be a commercial...

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

I like the back story of ToT. That is cool. While there, I was wondering what the story line was. Should have looked on YouTube, lol. Great story line, very fitting I think with the American Water Front.

I like how there are different ToT but some have different story lines(I've only seen TDS, WDW and DLR). The ones in the states are to close in story line. Im glad they did something different for TDS.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Actually, TDS' TOT is the only one with an unique storyline. All others (DHS, DCA, WDSP) have the same Twilight Zone storyline.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Now that the full Halloween site is online, we can see that not only are they using the exact same parade floats as last year, but the secondary characters are all wearing the same costumes as well. If the Tokyo Disney Resort is having such great economic year, why all the cutting back?
I'm still looking forward to my trip.

Fukai, all the extra revenue is going over to TDS's Halloween. Hehehehe. Hope to see you in October.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

So JoeInJpn- will you be around the week of 9/28-10/4 at all??

I remember reading about the Tower of Terror way before it opened when everyone was complaining about that it wasn't the "Twilight Zone"- The Japanese culture, from what I've heard, would be confused by what the twilight zone may be & would be confused by the idea of another dimension. I think they did a great storyline and themeing all on their own - yet I still think it's too tame a drop and doesn't need shoulder straps- but do know that the safety standards are very different in Japan.

I still haven't gotten over the time my friend tried to ride Raging Spirits- he's about 5'10" and a typical slightly overweight american- We were pulled off the line- brought to an area well away from the ride & put both of us in a little boxed mock up of the ride vehicle. I didn't have a problem, but they didn't know if he could ride or not. They then brought us up to the front of the line- put us in the first car. I was still fine- but it was very funny seeing 4 Japanese cast members trying to stuff him in the ride- then took out a little 6" rope to see if the restraints were down far enough- He did manage to ride- but it wasn't really worth it.

Anyway, back to topic, I'm looking forward to all the neat stuff they have planned at the parks- Anyone else going to be at the parks that week- Please let me know.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Hi jedimaster7313,

Yes, I'll be at the Parks during that time after my trip to China.

About Tower, Japanese would have gotten the "dimension" part of things. After all, it's a classic element in many manga/anime. They might have had a little more trouble with "Twilight Zone" especially with the younger crowd. However, TZ has been broadcast on and off in Japan (now on cable/satellite) since the 1970's. I've also seen rental tapes in stores for years.

About Raging Spirits, right by the mock seating setup backstage is a nurse's station. At TOT, if CM's are not sure whether an oversized person could ride, they are taken into the elevator via the side entrance and seated first before any of the other guests can even leave the waiting area.

There's an incredible update over at Deep Disney today with dozens and dozens of photos of Halloween merchandise in both parks, plus all the special food items available in the kiosks around the hub.

Oops! Sorry for the double post! MiceChat is "experiencing an abnormal amount of server-intensive requests" and I didn't think this first one worked.

Did you see this, over in the merchandise thread?

125 photos. Mostly merchandise. From The Disney Store and both parks!

I'd really appreciate comments on the photos. There were just too many to upload here.^^

Looks more like Tuxedo Mask after he let himself go grey.

Oh bother, did I just admit I'm a Sailor Moon fan? Oh well...
