Oh, you flatterer!^^ Thanks again for the T's, by the way. I was worried maybe they wouldn't fit from what folks were saying, but they are PERFECT! The Build-A-Bear stuff (and even the official Sweet Duffy jeans) are too big. These shirts are just right. See, you're not such a "villain" after all!

Oh bother, did I just admit I'm a Sailor Moon fan? Oh well...
Can you believe that I have still never actually seen Sailor Moon! Do you think it would it still be good now, to someone who has no nostalgia factor?

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Yeah, Sailor Moon can be good, even if you have no history with it. Mind you there are a few different series. And, since you're in Japan, you should be able to watch the original versions, without their crappy Americanized dumbing down. Here they showed the series as a kids show (which it is, granted), but they censored it, and dumbed down the dialog. Anyway, yeah, if you can rent some DVD's of the series, it's worth a look.

Oh, and as a side note, I'm actually selling off my Sailor Moon "doll" collection on Ebay right now (to pay for more TDR stuff, of course!). I was into the series when it was on.

I love how you put "doll" in quotes like all us tough guys do when we talk about our "action figures."^^

I remember watching fansubs of Sailor Moon in our CalAnimage Club at UC Berkeley in the late 80's and early 90's. I was all into anime/manga at that time. Once I came to Japan, i stopped watching. I still like a lot of the music and even the original Sailor Moon series theme song. Hehehe.

You will when Daisy or Angel (more likely Angel given her design) dresses up in a parody outfit of her one Halloween.

Hey, look! I brought it full circle!

I haven't heard of Sailor Moon either.

DuffyDad, great photos, that took a lot of time. :-) I am so impressed at how great the merchandice for TDR is. Way better in a lot of ways then the states. Im not sure how it compares to Paris, I was there 11 years ago and back then, it was hard to find anything on it that said Disney Paris. Which was sad. Its always fun to be in the parks and have something that shows you have been to other Disney Parks.

Which is why I am hating the idea of WDW and DLR having the same stuff. Hello, give me a reason to sit in a small space on a plane for 5 hours and travel across the country. Im a shopper, I need a reason to travel. lol Oh wait I do have a reason to travel. Hello Tokyo! Now if the air fair and hotel was as cheap in Tokyo as in Florida. Yeah I know I want it all. lol

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

There is absolutely nothing funny about being a shopper and needing to travel. For me, that's is my life, and it ain't easy. 92.4% of the reasons why I go to TDR is to shop shop shop for all those special event and unique merchandise, since what is sold at the US parks is usually garbage.. but I have to admit, some of the halloween stuff at WDW/DLR (since they both sell the same exact stuff ~boring~) is actually not bad looking. Maybe they are finally taking a cue from TDR's merchandise, just like HKDL does..

If they are, I hope they start increasing their line of Figment plushies over at Epcot.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Oh I like Fragment. I just found out about him the last time I was there.

I agree TDLFAN, the State side parks are putting more out for halloween and its even cute. lol I wish they had more to offer but hopefully they are learning.

DuffyDad, oh how I wish I could be in Tokyo next week. I had an amazing time last Fall. Only got to see one day of Halloween, but Im so glad I did.

It's my first time to see Disney's Halloween, and since I've been in Japan so long, it's my first real, non-school Halloween event in nearly ten years!* And I Halloween! I'm having a hard time thinking of anything else at the moment.

*we did have one little Halloween party in Taipei, but it didn't really do it for me.^^

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

TDL will mostly be a repeat of the previous year. So, a lot of the focus will be at TDS since it's the first year of an official event. TDS has had Halloween-related themes is previous years such as pumpkins growing in Aunt Peg's garden and Lost River Delta with "Day of the Dead" decorations.
