Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

What happend to the resortathome website that used to list TDL information about cds and such? It was working a few weeks ago as I noticed the new Halloween cds listed.
Is there another site that lists the latest about TDL cds and such?

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

K just watched youtube videos and mysterious masquerade is very curious indeed. It's really cool but the ending is very weird.. in more of a kind've Indian way than a Japanese way even heh.

And yay they put new music in the day parade so once again show that even when tokyo's saving some money by reusing the parade they still at least put some effort into keeping it fresh... not to mention new float

You found videos and didn't supply a link? Shame on you!

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Sorry =P

^^^^I like the angle in this video better but the second video had a big section that got glitchy and sped-up, the original upload got removed and replaced so I don't know if this current upload still has as much of an issue or not.

But if it does, there's also this video instead, but it doesn't complete the entire ending of the show.

What do you mean about the ending? I watched the videos you linked (thanks) and it seems ok to me. I guess it was kind of abrupt, but how do you mean "Indian"?

I think he meant in the way that many Indian motion pictures have with a big dance number and then the film suddenly ends.

Well guys, hate to break it to you. But that is NOT the ending of the show. Still need least 3-4 minutes for the conclusion. There's another costume change and more dancing. And at the end, they exit towards the right side of the stage. Other than that, it's a great quality video and good angle too.

that's exactly what i meant. uh oh scary stuff, all my friends have been possessed by ancient artifacts.. hey everybody, dance party!! and then upbeat dance music plays and they all dance together.

and the first set of videos i posted for the masquerade had the complete ending, the 2nd batch cut off early.

I guess I'll watch the parade video and want for a more complete video of the TDS show. I'm actually curious as to the whole Bollywood ending that you guys are talking about.

EDIT: Is it just me, or are the dancers in the TDL parade this year extra sexy? Seriously, I've never seen more attractive dancers in the parade. And they are always attractive in every show I've seen!

Also, did anyone else notice the Kingdom Hearts motif on the dancers flanking Mickey's/Ursula's float? I wonder what that could mean...

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Ah, ok, I do get the Bollywood dance number reference. I can see the relation. I do think it ends too abruptly with no real reason the characters return to normal, but It is still a fun show.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Also want to give out an extra SHOUT OUT to our old friend RICK MCKEE whose music is featured in Disney's Halloween Parade "Re Villains!" at TDL and in the TDS special event show Mysterious Masquerade.

Re: An Official Halloween 2009 Thread

Joe, tell him that I was digging the parade music this year. It really captured the spirit of the event. Can't wait to see and hear the Masquarade.

It's because it was "just for tonight."^^ They get Mickey to agree to party with them "only for tonight," so when the night is over, everything goes back to normal. The ghosts aren't really bad, they just wanna party like it's Halloween 2009!^^

Thank you for this, Joe! Now I know who to for my absolute favorite park music ever! Did he compose/mix all of it?
