So what Sea would you like to see added to TDS?

What new Port would you like to see added to TDS?

Caribbean (That would incorporate Pirates...)?

Arctic/Norwegian?

Or should WDC go mythical and do a "Beastlie Kingdom on the Sea"?

My leaning would be toward a Norse one expanding what WDI did w/ the Norway in the World Showcase at WDW.

An artic-themed port would be a really cool idea actually.

I had an idea for an 8th port actually that I posted years ago that was South-Pacific themed. Lame idea I know but I was thinking with the mind of a Disney suit then.

Yes, it would. But one that WDW IMHO deserves/needs at this point.

BTW. for the record, I like most of DAK. I just thought that it opened woefully incomplete and that it was shameful for WDI to open w/ Dinoland USA in that state: Dino statues and boards? Barely themed carnival rides?!? I remember saying "what happened? did they run out of money?"

Really, I couldn't tell you. I couldn't even imagine a park as excellent as Tokyo DisneySea so I won't try to imagine anything else that would go into it. Why? Because my ideas would suck beyond belief compared to what Imagineers can dream up for this park.

Which as of late is Turtle Talk with Crush and a Midway Mania clone? Haha.. You should give it a try.

The "barely themed carnival rides" didn't even show up until after DAK had been open for 2-3 or 3-4 years. I think a lot of people would have prefered they NEVER had opened. The original "Countdown to Extinction" (now Dinosaur) was a well themed ride (although a little dark to cover budget cuts) and the dig-site theming was good. They just needed more.....but the "more" definitely was NOT the Hester & Jester crap.

Dinoland USA has an intricate backstory. I find the area fun and relaxing. The park needed more child friendly areas, and don't forget Joe Rhode said it can all be taken out in 72 hours if needed.

Turtle Talk with Crush has a well themed queue and a really nice cast costume but the show itself is the same with even the same jokes. It's less annoying because he doesn't say dude every five minutes though and it's an ok show that is pretty cute but not anything great. For what it is though it balances out the area I think and is a nice place to get out of the cold or the heat or the rain. This is coming from a mom with a child entering kindergarten and I would only go if there is no wait if we go again.

I'm in love with Arctic wildlife on sea and land in this cold, bold and beautiful region. So, I would have to say the Arctic Ocean.

Here's some far-fetched armchair imagineering.

Move Pirates to TDS, it fits there thematically. Build a Frog Princess ride where Pirates currently is at TDL, it fits thematically as well. This could be accomodated on the unused plot next to the Indy ride.

Then, expand Frontierland into the "tropical" half of Adventureland, and build Western River Expedition where Jungle Cruise currently is. There are some strong similarities between WRE and POTC, so moving Pirates to TDS would also be good in not having two excellent but similar attractions in one park. These changes would also eliminate the current hodge-podge theming of Adventureland give this area of TDS more coherence.

Another idea I like is an Atlantis area. Something else that is thematically appropriate.
