Question Star Tours Update info request.

Hey any news about when the new Star Tours update will be coming to TDL? Also is TDL the first place that will have the update?
any information or thoughts?

I too would like to know(even though I live too far away from TDL.). Is TDL still going to have the upgrade?(Because, I remember that Star Tours 2 was originally going to DL and WDW, then WDW backed out and TDL steped in; then recently, at the D23 Expo, it was anounced that both DL and WDW would receive ST2, not TDL.) So, I think Star Tours 2 will be coming to TDL at a later time(Someone correct me if I am wrong.)

I think its only a matter of time before the Star Tours Update ends up in Tokyo. OLC Management will likely be some of the first people out to Anaheim to check it out in 2011. But at the moment the park really does not need that attraction. Star Tours is located in Tomorrowland in an area already gridlocked because of the popularity of Monsters Inc, Space Mountain and One Man's Dream II. By adding Star Tours update so soon would cause an operations nightmare for that small area of the park.

That is quite a valid point. I saw the pictures of the lines the first time Star Tours opened at TDL...

If I am not mistaken.. it was rumored at some point that Lucas was developing the Start Tours upgrade for TDL, at the request of OLC. Reason why the US parks are getting it? But that is only rumor and hearsay.

PS TDL Fan, I do want to come to TDL/TDS with my family. We have decided to come there for Christmas next year if we can save enough. Right now the tickets are so cheap....but well see about next year.

....looks pretty much a go for 2011 but in Disneyland? Thats cool though because after I come to Japan for holiday 2010. Im gonna go back to Disneyland Halloween 2011. (Then Its WDW for HanuChristmaKwanzaakah 2012!)

Let me know if you hear the final word on Star Tours in Tokyo. I thought that was where it was going, but you know Disneyland always wants to be the first to have the good stuff.

In a conversation I had with an Imagineer about a year ago it seemed very implicit that they would be flying out to install the Tokyo edition shortly after they finished with the one in California.

No idea how that works now though with so many other projects also going, but I'd assume that Tokyo will make the switch pretty quickly after it hits the states.

Hopefully if it does get updated, it won't be soon. I want to experience the original one more time before it's gone.
