How about that!
Cool, huh?
(I hope it's closer to the Anaheim version, or else something completely different from either!)

Aww I don't like Fantasmic.
Where are they going to put it?

Where is the source? Last I heard, they were looking at World of Color- not Fantasmic.
~ Tokyo DisneySea’s Arabian Coast at nighttime ~
Nope, not World of Color.
Definitely Fantasmic!
I think they should make something new! And maybe something at Animal Kingdom. The park usually closes at 5. So this would extend the hours.
Well I remember thinking that
1) It was weird that there isn't already a Fantasmic type show at the resort.
2) OLC apparently were going ahead with World and Color, when that show will not feature any live performers. Fantasmic will be more in tune with past offerings, which feature a great show with live entertainers.
I'll wait for a reliable source, thank you (no offense intended of course).
"Keep Moving Forward."
LaughingPlace is pretty reliable, with their Disney contact over there that always gets the TDR press releases, and updates. Nobody else seems to cover that stuff.
As for Fantasmic! I think it's an interesting choice. I know they wanted to present that show from the beginning...or at least WDI intended for the lagoon to be used in that way. We'll see just how they accomplish that though. The waterways are much bigger than both Disneyland's Rivers of America, and the custom-built WDW show.
They will have to provide some kind of stage for the live performers, and make it visible around the entire lagoon. Also, they will have to probably install a lot more mist screens for the same reason. It would be like performing the show at EPCOT. Huge body of water that could make the scale of the show problematic. However, they seem to have no problem providing spectacles with characters already, so I'm sure they'll work out any logistics. It makes me wonder if they will finally have the real AA dragon emerge from the water, like they originally intended, and BraviSEAmo! sort of delivered.
Also, it will probably be different from both US shows, in that it's location will force that. There is no Mark Twain, but I'm sure they will come up with a great alternative. maybe incorporate all of the Transit Steamer boats at the end?
It's interesting news, regardless, and I can't wait to see what OLC and WDAJ does with the show to make it work at TDS!
sounds cool
I hope they continue to incorporate MT Prothemeus in the show some how... I love how its done in Bravieasamo... It should be interesting to see how different fantasmic can be, its been out in the sates now for what 17-18yrs?? 1992?
I think TDLFan can enlighted us on why Fantasmic! has not come to TDR?(I think, if it were to come, it would be totally different and uniqe to TDS.)
Timekeeper.
Fantasmic? Wow. That's certainly unexpected.. Not sure what I think about this. I thought they were working on WoC for Tokyo..
As others already mentioned, it will probably be very different from the US versions - with no main stage for the live actors? Maybe Mickey will do the finale scene from atop Mt. Prometheus? There's a thought! I like the Braviseamo story/concept and it fits the park's theme, why not just expand the show to make it more Fantasmic-like?

Both of your thoughts are flawed. Mickey won't appear on Mt. Promethus because then guests on that side of the harbor have to turn there heads all the way around detracting from the main attention. Doesn't make sense.
BraviSEAmo doesn't have characters for a reason. It is a love story about water and fire, not a chance you can incorporate characters into it without ruining it.
