Re: Do The Japanese Come To The American Parks?

Japanese tourists are a usual sight for me when I'm at the Anaheim park. Not only are they dressed exceptionally well (love it) but they're always sporting some sort of awesome TDR merchandise. I get so jealous - especially when they're wearing the hats I've always wanted!
    I lurk.

I have a Japanese friend who used to have annual passes to all the international parks. They also sell magazines showing things like merchandise and food from the overseas parks at the book store.

Re: Do The Japanese Come To The American Parks?

Even though I can't read a word of it- the Japanese magazines are really great- I've been collecting the Disney fan for years now & have finally gotten a new subscription at another Japanese book shop near me- So I can now save over $80 on shipping charges.

They have so many pictures of just about anything and everything- the one gripe I have is that I wish some of the pictures were much bigger- but even with all the small ones- just about any magazine is crammed with photos.

You do see more Japanese tourists in Disneyland than you do in WDW- but it is always a joy seeing the Japanese fans anywhere- I see several of them in New York city every few days.

I also enjoy visiting the Japanese shops in NY where you do get the respect and atmosphere of like being in a shop in Japan. I've even seen a few Japanese girls dressed to the hilt while shopping in these shops - that really makes me miss being in Japan even more.
