    Balloons and rides

Okay, this is probably a dumb question, but what do you do with your balloons when you are on an attraction? My boys are balloon obsessed and I've told them that we will buy them a balloon each. If we were to buy them early in the day, what on earth would we do with them?

    Re: Balloons and rides

    How old are your children?

If they are still young enough that you need a stroller, then leave the balloons tied to that outside the attraction.

If they are older, judge how well you think they can maintain the balloon low and prefererably against their body. If they are able to do that, they no problem. If not, then you or another adult may have to hold them.

The attraction CM will undoubtedly give a quick safety spiel regarding holding on to the balloon.

Thanks Joe, my DH suggested tying it to the stroller too - no idea why it didn't occur to me! Getting the pre-trip jitters I think!!!!

And, since this is TDR, the chances of somebody stealing your balloons or stroller are slim to none, as opposed to DL or WDW...

I have never had the balloon stolen at WDW and we tie them to the stroller every time we have gone.

Well.. to TDR's credit, the balloons are much nicer, more varied, and of higher quality that those at WDW.

It is rare for something to be stolen but please don't let your guard down. Balloons should be fine but keep an eye on your bags. We heard of someone who had something stolen from their bag during the parade last winter and lately they will announce for people waiting for the parade to be careful with your bags and make sure they are closed and in your eyesight.

Oh NO! This is yet another step closer for TDR to turn into another WDW.

While I feel the safest in a Tokyo Disney park- there are, unfortunately, unscrupulous people everywhere in the world & TDR by far isn't exempt.

It is ashame that some peoples fun times at the parks can be ruined by these random acts of others that have no consideration.

    Re: Balloons and rides

For me, living near, and working in NYC, I'm just so used to never leaving anything unattended. I would have a real hard time leaving anything even at TDR. It's just a compulsive instinct now, I guess.
