A Night of Fun at TDS.. (trip report)

TDLFAN went to TDS for a quick night of halloween and shopping fun... and here is what he saw...

Arrived at the Resort Gateway Station of the Disney Resort Line.. which is all decked out in Halloween fun!!!

This statue has been erected in Ikspiari as advertisement for a new Nintendo Disney game being introduced for sale.

TDLFAN stepped into Ikspiari's Disney Store to check out the halloween merchandise, exclusive to the Disney Stores in Japan.

    TDLFAN arrives at Tokyo DisneySea.

...then goes shopping at the Emporio, which is decked out in Halloween decor.

The Grand Canal in Mediterranean Harbor.

McDuck's Dept Store in American Waterfront.

McDuck's is also home to Duffy mania...

There is no end to this craze.

Yes, they are cute and they are out to empty your wallet.

Garden decor at the intersection of Ponte Becchio and American Waterfront.

New York Street decorated for Halloween.

A TDLFAN favorite part of TDS... lovely Mermaid Lagoon.

King Triton welcomes all to this underwater kingdom.

Over in Lost River Delta.. the mexican flavored "Dia de loe Muertos" festivities is being held, with some interesting decor.. skelletons everywhere..

Special menu includes rice in the shape of a skull... hahaha.

Special merchandise exclusive to River Delta's outfitters.

Mysterious Island... and a lovley Moon.

    Lovely Miracosta Hotel and harbor.

Halloween decor in the gardens near the Roman Ruins..

Yummy desert in souvenir TDS Halloween cup. That's a choco-bat on sweet cream, with peanut butter sauce on a decadent chocolate mousee below it.

Special halloween menu at Zambini Bros Restaurant.. Note the seaweed bat on top of the main dish.

TDLFAN was lucky to win a seat in the lotto for the Mysterious Masquerade show... and had a near decent view of the stage. Gotta love the african themed Donald outfit.

Lavish costuming on this show, as is the case with most TDR shows.

BraviSEAmo! plays to the crowds on it's final season..

BraviSEAmo! ends with a blinding BANG!!!

Halloween fireworks bring the day to a close over Mediterranean Harbor.

And that concludes this visit to Tokyo DisneySea.

Thanks for more pics! I really like the Disney Store Halloween theme this year. It's cute, and even though it's witches, wizards, & beasts, which have been done before, it's different visually.

I love the Dia de los Muertos theme, and I hope they extend that next year. Disneyland in Anaheim does a good job with it too, in the Zocolo park area. I'm glad you got so close to the stage for Mysterious Masquerade too, it looks like fun.

Wow....you've totally sold me, dude. I wish my Japanese were better.......in fact, it totally stinks! I've never been outside the US, except for the Bahamas, and that really doesn't count to me. I'd love to take my family here! What's your best advice for this??

My advise to anyone who loves Disney... you *gotta* go to TDR. It does not get any better than that. So save a few pennies, and do your homework online.. you can find deals on some decent hotels and airfares.. and when the time is right for you, financially speaking, book it and GO! GO! GO!

    Thanks for sharing...

Even the monorail station and shopping center decorations blow away the decorations INSIDE the US parks.

Just another example showing that OLC understands that investing in "show" quality even at lower levels reaps them higher return in the long run.

I'm glad TDR sets the bar so high so people don't forget what quality Disny offerings are supposed to be.

The Kingdom Hearts display is great, I agree! That game, "Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded" is very close to being released in Japan (it may have even been released this week), and we won't get it in the US until March of next year, oh well. I'll have to console myself by playing "Birth by Sleep" over and over again, LOL!
