Pooh's Hunny Hunt down for rehab for 3 months?

I've just noticed on the English website (Temporary Closure of Park Facilities | Tokyo Disney Resort) that Pooh's Hunny Hunt will be closed when I visit in October for the first time

However, it is closed from October 9th to December 22nd - isn't this an unusually long time for normal maintenance?

Honestly, Hunny Hunt is such a great, amazing ride that I'd reschedule a trip to Japan to ensure that it's open when I'm there.

Re: Pooh's Hunny Hunt down for rehab for 3 months?

I'll be traveling in November and I'm rather sad to see Pooh closed. What ever will I use my FastPass for now?

Sorry you will miss out on riding Pooh steve76. Pooh uses a lot of advance technology when it comes to Disney dark rides and wear and tear on an attraction of this scale must happen. I also know that its had issues like for instance a large book at the end not opening and closing like it should be doing. So the closure is most likely needed. OLC would not keep a crowd favourite like Pooh closed for three months unless it was required. On the other hand Tokyo Disneyland has so many other amazing rides to choose from that should compensate for your loss. And I'm feeling down about this closure just as much as you and several other MiceChatters who are visiting with in the three months that love the ride.

I didn't see any effects missing or not working properly last week, but I did notice that you could clearly see the ride vehicle 'tracks' (wear on the floor surface). It sort of diminished the whole 'trackless' feel.

You've been able to see the places where the wheels hit the floor (and thus the patterns in which the honeypots move) since shortly after the ride opened. I can't imagine there is any way to keep that from happening short of repainting the floor every few months. You can also see it on the floor of Aquatopia, under the shallow water.

All I can say is DOGS BALLS that the ride is going to be closed in October. Damn and Blast.

We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.

I managed to rejigger the days of my vacation so that I can go to Tokyo Disneyland on my first day in Japan, and thus will get to see Pooh as usual. It probably seems silly, but I can't imagine going to Tokyo Disneyland and not riding on Hunny Hunt.

Bummer, yes, but then again compared to the entire resort being shut down ...
