Soundsational is a nice parade for a US park.
At TDR it would look like a temporary fill-in daytime "cavalcade".
^^ Yep, that's right. Even though I'm not a TDR daily visitor, I always visit Japan with my family every years. Back since in the 2000s. We always love to watch parades! But until we visited Disneyland and watch Soundsational parade. We were a bit disappointed. My parents thought that " Disneyland is the ORIGINAL of ALL Disney parks." They were expecting a bigger parade than TDL thinking it as the original ( plus more expensive cost than visiting Japan), and it should be a more special parade. ( Other Thais think like this too ). After all, Soundsational is a nice parade. But Jubilation! is WAY BETTER.
Sorry for grammar mistakes! I'm not really good in English!
"Soundsational" is not a match for Hong Kong Disneyland's "Celebration in the Air" parade, where floats are more elaborate with counted animated 3D props on them.. Having seen the elaborate and very expensive live parades and shows at Tokyo Disney Resort last April..I will definitely be looking forward to seeing the new efforts they make for this 30th anniversary parade.
Artists for hire work within the budget they are given.
Soundsational was created within a certain budget.
I'm sure the parade for Tokyo Disneyland's 30th anniversary will have a budget many times larger, allowing the creators to do more than they were able to with Soundsational. A good analogy is the amount of money the Walt Disney Company gives Imagineering to create a ride for the US parks versus what the OLC gives Imagineering to create a ride for the Tokyo parks. EVERYTHING in the Tokyo parts is plussed, the ultimate "plus" being "Pooh's Hunny Hunt" versus any other Pooh ride in the world.
You get what you pay for, and OLC pays more and gets more.

Nothing dark in the new parade: no villians. The nation is still traumatized after the earthquake and tsunami.
Bambi may make the cut.
