    The Queue from Hell

Just looked at Deep Disney and saw a photo of the sign showing the standby wait time for the Tower of Terror on Monday March 12: FOUR HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES.

Is that the longest wait time ever posted?

Opening day for X2 at sfmm was 5.5 hours. I got there later in the day and waited 3.5 hours

Probably not. Mid Summer probably has longer waits. On Halloween the wait times were 2-3 hours for most rides, and similar wait times on the weekends, so I could only imagine the place during mid Summer, it would make WDW look like a joke.

I've seen posted wait times of over 300 minutes multiple times during Monsters Inc grand opening.

I hope it quiets down a bit since my trip is coming up soon!

And that's why you go there as soon as the gates open in the morning, and grab a fast pass.

Wow that is a long line. I can understand now why guest of TDR bring hand held computer, smart phones or tablets with them. You can play games on them with other guest in line or on line, or just yourself.

Now I know why they let you run when the gates are open. I remember seeing that the first time and was like wow, cant do that back home.

Are lines this long during the Christmas holiday? PP said Summer and Halloween. I was wondering what other times of year are lines this long?

Fortunately we're staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and will get a head start that gets us Monsters Inc. and Pooh's Hunny Hunt (one ridden, the other a FastPass) before the normal guests enter!

Today the wait time at the Tower of Terror at 2 pm was FIVE HOURS as posted on Deep Disney.

By comparison, the longest wait time for Pooh's Hunny Hunt was 2 hours at 4 pm. Monster's Inc. was never longer than 1 hour.

    Re: The Queue from Hell

I am sure I'm the luckiest guy in the world. Was there in 2009 and walked right in to Tower of Terror at 1pm. Early August. A little bit of strategy had us with very few waits. In DL, it was a different story. We arrived 45 minutes after opening, and the crowds were enormous. Still, we did everything we wanted to do fairly easily. Our one big wait was 2 hours at the end of the day for Monsters, Inc after we did everything else we wanted to do and the electrical parade was canceled due to rain. Not worth the wait... but it was that or leave the park on our last day.

August? That's a tough time to go. Hot. Humid. Huge crowds.

You might have been able to walk onto the Tower of Terror because it had been shut down due to a problem, and you happened by just when it reopened. That's the only scenario on an August afternoon that would account for a walk-on.

    Re: The Queue from Hell

I can confirm this- we're currently in Japan, and we went to TDS on Thursday, March 15th. We did a double-take at ToT, which was 4 hours. The park was crazy full, we didn't ride a single thing...we just walked around, bought Duffy stuff, played in the fort, and played some game prize stuff.

Fortunately, we have another day coming up for the parks so we can ride stuff. Like someone else said, we have a hard time waiting over 30 minutes...especially when you're local to a park and are use to timing things super well.

    Re: The Queue from Hell

The photos on Deep Disney today seemed to show smaller crowds, but they've stopped posting wait times so it's hard to tell. The park certainly didn't look that crowded.
