So they are using the old Be Magical greeting float as well?

We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.

Looks like they might be using the Fantasmic! Sorcerer's float too for the main tree.

The sorcerer hat float is tilted. Wouldn't look right to have the Christmas tree leaning.

If they are re-using the Fantasmic! hat for the Christmas show the hat needs to be adjustable!

So, will we be seeing the return of Candlelight Reflections? If so, I'm all for it.

Looked at it again this Morning, I does look like the Fantasmic! hat. When you zoom in, you can see the different levels. It does look Impressive! I hope TDS is not cutting Christmas Wishes the show and/or Fantasmic! for this.

Anyone care to translate for us???

It does "look" like the Fantasmic! float but like I pointed out, the Fantasmic! float is tilted. If you Google search for images of the Fantasmic! float you can clearly see this is the case. I'd be surprised if they use it as is and have a leaning Christmas tree.

As far as what the pamphlet says... it just says "Tokyo DisneySEA special event, Christmas Wishes".

It can't be the hat because it's not tilted. It might be the Candlelight Reflections tree, which they should have brought out during Christmas after Fantasmic was done to add add a little extra magic to the Christmas Season, I mean, the hat was gone, they bring out the tree lowered (which it did when they were preparing for the show), made it rise, and lit it up.

I don't think it is that tree either. The Candlelight tree was a open framed tree with multiple lights on the frame. The pamphlet tree looks like it has LED panels more like the Fantasmic! float.

Why do some of you think it is a re-used tree? I can totally see them building a new float/tree for this show. Especially because it will probably get used for the next three or more years.

True. I still want a new version of Candlelight Refections, even with a new tree, it could just be an homage to the showin one part. but an entirely different show all together and most fans would be happy.

I agree about the look, but I'd be surprised if they built a brand-new float for a third-year show just before retiring it for something new during next year's big anniversary.

I think a new Christmas tree shaped video screen covered float could be used for many years to come. Since it is programmable, even if the show changes the video displays can be changed to fit in with whatever show theme they do.

I think the shape as a Christmas tree is more inhibiting and limits its use for the Christmas holiday season.

I'm not sure I understand. The first part of your post makes me think you expect a new float, pretty much the same as the Fantasmic! hat, but with no angle. Your idea sounds like it's not terraced perhaps, but the concept art clearly shows six terraces and a rounded base "brim," just like the Fantasmic! sorcerer's hat. The second part of your reply sounds to me like you think a new float's use would be limited, and so perhaps(?) wasteful. I agree with that.

To me, that central tree looks too much like the Fantasmic! hat for me to suspect it may be something else. Although the hat does have a "tilt" from some viewing angles at some points in the show, it also doesn't at others. In a lot most of the concept art, it's shown straight. In some of the concept art, it's even shown with smooth sides rather than the terraced steps, which we know is meant to be an "image," not reality. When I see Mickey on top of it in photos and the actual show, it looks to me like it goes straight up. Perhaps there's something about the alignment of the different angles? The steps are not straight but angled, individually. Maybe depending on how each level is rotated, the overall structure can appear tilted or straight?

I know OLC is willing to spend obscene amounts of money in their pursuit of constantly keeping their experience fresh for guests, but your point about how it's programmable applies to the Fantasmic! hat, too. Some of us even talked about how it would make a good Christmas hat or Christmas tree when it debuted. I, for one, have always expected it to be used in precisely this way. I just can't imagine they invested the time and money to develop and build that barge for Fantasmic! less than a year ago and will now build a totally separate and yet nearly identical thing just for Christmas events, particularly for a three-year old show, particularly just before the huge 30th Anniversary. I think it must have been planned to be adaptable in this way when they designed it and that must be the Fantasmic! hat. I could be wrong, of course, but I would be very surprised.

In any case, this has solved the one serious problem I had with Christmas Wishes, no harbor show. I am now very excited for Christmas at DisneySEA! I always liked the concept because it includes all the Ports in the event. The one strange thing to me now is that there appear to be eight smaller trees; I would have expected seven, one for each Port of Call. That little blue one on the top left looks like it may be something different than a tree, though... Or maybe it's a wee little tree just for Cape Cod!
