If you wish to read the statement.
Gonna have to start organising my trip now, seeing videos of the actual ride itself online, I think I'm more excited to see what they do with the showbuilding, and the queue itself.
Prometheus do you know if the Future Riders card for Star Tours will be honored for this new version of the attraction?
Thanks for the link Grimezy!

Thanks for the update. I've been waiting to find out the opening date so that I could book for next year. I didn't want to miss this along with the 30th Celebrations and Spring Voyage.
OLC=Oriental Land Company; they operate the Tokyo Disney Resort.

I'll be visiting TDR on May 14th-17th. Is it going to be more crowded than usual since there's the new Star Tours? Or will it just be TDL and not TDS? How will this new ride affects the other rides' queues?
Well looks as though you'll be there during the week so you should be fine in terms of crowds, probably a little more crowded than expected but not as busy as it would be during the weekend.
I can't imagine there would be much of a drop in the average wait times for other attractions in Tomorrowland, or other lands for that matter.
I don't believe Star Tours will ever be a slow loading ride even with the update, in theory with all 6 Cabins running they would roughly get 240 People loaded every 5-6 minutes.
Dang it, I think my cousin is getting married in New York that week. I might not be able to do the opening.

I disagree with Grimezy: after watching everyone run left at the opening of DisneySea for Toy Story Mania, I think we'll see a real redistribution of crowds for the first few hours each day at Tokyo Disneyland due to Star Tours. The Japanese are obsessive: they will ride and ride again until they have seen every possible one of the 50+ variations in the ride sequence.
Born in a shoebox and making the most of it.
Where are all the construction photos of the new star tours?
I was there last week, and didn't take any photos. Nothing to really see the entire Star Tours building is covered in Mesh and Scaffolding and a fence around the base.
You can't see anything that is being done. Anything.
