    I am having a hard time understanding why 23 (near the fort) is a good view. It seems like you would be on the backside of the show and see the backside of the dragon.

    From the YouTube videos it looks like the best views are in the areas I circled in red.

    This is a show designed by Steve Davison, who also designed World of Color for California Adventure. Like World of Color, this show has a very narrow optimal viewing area. The view from anywhere on the backside is bad.
    Your big red dot on the right is the sweet spot.
    Born in a shoebox and making the most of it.

    The area below the left big red marking is mostly empty about 45 minutes before the show starts. Alot of people pass this spot to look for better places. Infact this area is great. Children can rest again the rail and there is a place close by to get hot coffe and tea.
