It should be an A/1 encoded Blu-Ray which is playable in the USA.

In case of Blu-ray (not DVD), US and Japan have the same Region Code, Japanese Blu-ray discs should be able to play on North American players.

Thanks, I never knew they were A too. Now I guess it's just a matter of getting it here!

I see that these blu-rays only list Japanese as a language option. Does anyone know if that is correct, or are there also an English language/dub or subtitle options? Thanks for any help. New at this!

Ok, thank you. That's equally helpful and disappointing.

    Re: TDR Blu-ray Release Info

All the Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySEA DVDs and blu-rays are Japanese language only. Don't be disappointed by that: watching them in Japanese more like being there than if they had someone babbling in English.

My set just showed up and hope to start watching tonight.

    Re: TDR Blu-ray Release Info

After a ton of research, I ended up ordering the 30th anniversary set as well as the TDS 10th anniversary disc (and the Fantasmic cd!). After watching some of it, I realized that I will likely never make it to the parks, so this is a great way to experience some of it. The quality of the sets is excellent. Thanks for all the advice.

Do the discs feature the parks and /or rides at all? Any walk throughs?

I'm only watched a few of the videos, but so far they are various shows and parades from the 10th anniversary to today. There may be even older shows on here; I just haven't gotten there yet. I don't believe there are any ride-throughs. However, each disc has one bonus feature tour. The only one of those I've watched is a tour of the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, so it's possible a tour could exist for a ride I suppose. Not knowing how to read the titles, there's no way to know what I'm going to watch until I click on the video.

I ordered the set from HMV on Saturday 4/20, and they were delivered today (California) Thursday 4/25. Shipping was about $17 (Y1680)

    Re: TDR Blu-ray Release Info

Older DVDs (and perhaps the Tokyo DisneySEA 10th anniversary blu-ray) have some ride-throughs of attractions, however the most important thing to the Japanese about their day at a Disney park are the parades and shows, thus the heavy emphasis on these in many of the DVDs and also the latest blu-ray set.

I can help with the content of the other 2 Blu-Ray sets. Neither features attraction ride-throughs, but several full shows are available, however.
