Cinderella Castle's New Look

hello from Tokyo everyone... Just got back from TDR, and wanted to let you all know a good portion of the scaffolding was taken down from Cinderella Castle... the castle now has a different color and gold trimming... It's a bit radical but I liked it.

I like it! How long is it going to stay like this because I like it over the usual boring blue-grayish look.

I think this is going to be a permanent change. For now. The last time the castle was totally covered in scaffolding was back in 92... so I would guess... maybe this new look is here to stay for now.

Personally, I would like the ENTIRE MK Park to get the TDL treatment.. meaning, better maintenance, efficient and professional cast, better quality experience in regards to rides and shows, better staffing, more choice of eateries... and even a better monorail experience.

Wow they are doing the repaint fairly fast!
I was shocked by the scaffolding all over the castle two weeks ago.

That is how a gold castle should look, with the gray and the blue it doesn't stand out as much as the DL castle.

Actually, the figures are being sent away - to the Walt Disney Studios in Paris. Well the Peter Pan, Wendy and Tink ones at least. They are part of the placemaking project on the east side of the park, which includes an eventual transformation into the Animation Studios land.

ORWEN: Thank you for showing us your pictures, TDLFAN. I was talking with Cinderella--just yesterday--and she assured me she loves the new look of her castle in Japan, too!

ORGOCH: Give us a break, blubber brains! Cindersmelly don't waste none a her time talkin' ta some big, fat loser--like yerself--'speci'ly when ya's all covered in powered sugar from eatin' so many dang donuts!!

ORWEN: Well, I DID talk to Cinderella, yesterday, old biddy--whether you believe me or not! She even told me how sorry she was that the Castle Mystery Tour isn't up and running any more and tried to console me when she realized it was the only attraction that paid homage to THE BLACK CAULDRON. She said she was going to miss seeing the Horned King in her basement.

ORGOCH: Oh, yeah?! Wonder what that says 'bout Prince Alarmin'--if'n his gal takes the time away from HIM--just so's she can keep company with a horny king in her basement?!

I think the new color is GREAT! much "warmer" than the old one.
I wonder how it would look to change our pink castle here in Paris into that color...
