    Hajimema****e kochirakoso "Rashubeah-san".

    I'm near the Shinjuku area.

Been living here on and off since the original Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade ended (1995).

Yes, it should be great. Watch out for screaming school girls at the park though.

A ryokan near Asakusa? Nice touch.

    I have a secret, but I'm not telling ...... Alright, I'll tell.

Look for them on a Trip report near you.

I was there just 2 weeks prior to opening. The park was open to "invited guests only" Sigh....if only I was in Japan a few weeks later! (Wasn't there for Disney)

On the other hand, my Day at TDL was the best day I've ever had at any Disney park. Pooh is the most amazing ride ever! (I also went to some amusement parks elsewhere....the world's (at the time) tallest fastest coaster at Nagashima SPaland was amazing.

Peabody, I was probably one of the people you saw entering DisneySea on those days. I began enjoying the park in July 2004. Visited about eight times before Grand Opening.

My only trip to Tokyo Disney was back in March 2002 and loved it soooo much. So much I fell in love. I remember staying up really late one night 1am or so on the balcony (Sheraton Tokyo Bay) staring at the parks. Now almost 3 years later, I am heading back. This time I am devoting only 2 days for Tokyo Disney March 29 & 30. Maybe we can meet up with lashbear? I am going with 2 of my co-workers on a whirwind tour of Asia, 6 cities in 15 days. Sounds crazy, yes. I am that type of a traveler. But of course I am going because I found great airfares to NRT (Tokyo) from SFO (San Francisco). For those on a budget, try seeing a Travel Agency preferably one specializing to Japan. 90% of the time I find the prices to be better that booking online. I was qouted last week $400 excluding tax to NRT from SFO on United. Usually the fare is around 550-800USD.

    Try & Stop me !!!

DUSTY !!!! We need to have a meeting place - I don't know what the Hub looks like at TDL or TDS - can you suggest a neutral venue (is the giant earth ball fountain thingy between the two parks ?? )

The "earth ball fountain thingy" is called Aquasphere. It is located in the center of DisneySea Plaza. My suggestion in front of "Partner's Statue" at Tokyo Disneyland. Or the by information kiosk at Tokyo DisneySea.

Partners Statue would be MY romantic choice - like meeting with Unca Walt as well, but we would need to make sure everyone who's coming is aware that when you buy a pass for (I think) 2-3-4 days, they make you nominate which parks you're going to on the first two days. (I don;t know why they do this...)

I wanted to emphasize that too. Since Dusty may have to purchase a 2-day pass, you guys need to coordinate which day you'll spend at each park. In my opinion, I always tell first time visitors to Tokyo to go to Disneyland first, then DisneySea.

As of now, we plan on going to DisneySea first and the following day to TDL. My last trip
I went to Tokyo Disneyland first then DisneySea. I want to try something different this time.

That remind me of my favourite Snoopy quote from the musical "You're a good man Charlie Brown":

"Why is it that I always have my supper in the Red Dish, and my water in the Yellow Dish. One day, I'm going to have my Supper in the Yellow Dish, and my water in the Red Dish. Life's too short not to live it up a little".

NO NO!! DON'T do Europe at this time. The current exchange rate between the dollar and the Euro makes a DLP visit quite quite expensive, and for just peanuts more, you can visit a much more impressive Disney Resort in every respect (Even if DLP is still a prettier DL than ultra clean and expansive TDL)
So treat yourself to Japan for once. Not only a great Disney experience over there but also an exciting city to visit.

Hello everyone. I'm a member of the DisneySea club, since I was lucky enough to visit the resort last Easter. I'm already saving for another trip at the same time next year.
Is anyone else of the opinion that's it's the best Disney park in the world? (Not that I've visited the Californian resort, but I have a sneaking suspicion that DCA doesn't quite measure up...)

Just in case you didn't know...There really is a TDR Fan Club called "Funderful Disney", but it's only geared to japanese residents. You do have to pay a membership fee yearly and get some cool little gifts abd perks at the Resort. Sorry the link is only avail in japanese.
