Japanese Plug Adapters!

Hi a little of topic for the Tokyo Disney Resort forum I know so first I'd like to apologise however I recently was given for my Birthday a DVD video camera,and Im hoping to take it away with me in Sept to film and shoot the various offerings the Tokyo Disney Resort has to offer,after seeking inspiration from all the videos on Joe's site http://www.jtcent.com However as Im sure most of you are aware power on cameras don't last and I will need to charge my battery's up every night after visiting the parks.And so we come to my all important question as in what plug adapters do the Japanese use,and are there similar at all to the American plug adapters which I've been able to use in the past by buying a UK travel adapter or are they totally differn't.If anyone knows the answer I'd love to know thanks

I'm almost positive that a North American plug will fit into a Japanese socket. So you can use that same adapter, I think.

puss is correct: you don't need an adapter unless your plugs are polarized (i.e., one prong wider than the other). The wide prong won't fit into a Japanese socket. Since video cameras, computers, etc., typically don't have polarized plugs, you should be fine.

You'll need an adapter if you ever go to Hong Kong DL. Their plugs are impossible to bend! Wish we had them like that here...

Cheers guys just wanted to make sure it'll be alright to charge my camera and possibly my cell phone also while Im away.The US plugs are differn't to what we use in the UK anyway but I can easily buy a US plug adapter to place over the UK plug.Do it everytime I visit the States,so should have no probs in Japan,I hope;)
