There is no such thing as a "coffee table book" in softcover.

In order to qualify as a coffee table book, the book must be hardcover and lavishly produced.

The book of DisneySea photos you mention is just a softcover book of photos--lovely ones. They've been promoting the hell out of it in Disney Fan magazine. If anyone wants to buy it at the resort, you have to go to the Maruzen bookstore in Ikspiari. They didn't have it in either park during my last visit.

Well thanks for the correction. I would not know such trivial things.

Why is it trivial? The thousands of publishers around the world wouldn't think so.

Please pardon us less fortunate individuals for not knowing such important info.

Is there any way these can be ordered, or are they available at the TDR only?

Just passing along a little insight from the world of publishing--that's what I do.
I don't know any way of ordering these aside from going to the parks.

They're not sold at amazon.co.jp, or the Disney Store in Japan (they won't even ship to the US from their Internet Division, Disneymall).

And they haven't shown up on eBay (the new ones rarely do).

So, it looks like the parks are the only place to buy them.

What I did was to ask one of the folks in Japan who sell stuff from the Tokyo Disney Resort on eBay to buy them for me--they get a slight markup and I get the books.

If I lived in Japan, and had good access to the parks, I think I would actually start a mail order website for westerners looking for Tokyo Disney Resort related merchadise, think its an untaped market.

There was a website that did just that about 5 years ago...it must have went under.

I'll gladly pay for anyone who visits there to pick up one for me. Cost+Postage+a nice "finders fee"
