Pirates of the Caribbean ride

Does anyone know why the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at TDL will be closed twice (January 9, 2007 - March 9, 2007 and May 7, 2007 - July 20, 2007)?

no, but i sure hope it's open by the end of march. my boyfriend is going, he's never been to a disney park and i told him specifically not to miss pirates...

A similar but smaller upgrade to the one at DL may be in the works for what I understand... reason why it will be closed.

Are they adding Captain Jack as well in Japan?

I would assume since the truth is TDL keeps their attractions in top shape and POTC is no different. So I reckon the reason for the closing is to upgrade it to the film's overlay.

Thats true I've been on all the Pirates of the Carribean attractions world wide and the TDL version is in my opinion in the best shape,but to be fair havn't visited the DL version since 2005 so no idea what condition its in since the movie overlay.

I hope they don't PC the scene withthe chased women--as it's the only version of Piurates withthe original version
