Just looking at TDL's rates and wondering if someone could tell me what their value rates translates to in USD.

Also - which hotel is better?

their site isn't as easy to get around as disneyworlds - or maybe it's just me not used to it.

With the official exchange rate at the moment, ¥32,000 is $269.00.

The Mira Costa Hotel is Tokyo Disney's top of the line hotel, then there is the Ambassador. The Official Hotels like the Hilton and the Sheraton are pretty nice too, and not as expensive.

You mean their english site. Their japanese site is full of info and many other features and puts WDW's site to bloody shame, just like the Tokyo resort does to WDW.

I would put the Hotel MiraCosta above every other hotel I've stayed at; this includes most of the 5 star Las Vegas resorts such as the Venetian and nearly all the deluxe Disney hotels in Anaheim, Orlando, and Paris.

Yes I do... and navigate with caution since link open to other areasof the site and you can get lost quite easily if you are not fluent in japanese language and symbols... but enjoy!

I completely agree with you. The MiraCosta is by far the most beautiful and elegant hotel I've ever seen and stayed at. My previous comment was refering to the hotels I've stayed at. Sorry if you interpreted it as me thinking there are better Vegas and Disney hotels out there; I don't. Like you said, the MiraCosta surpasses all the Vegas resorts and is without a doubt, the best Disney hotel in the world by far.

So how does it compare to like a 4 Seasons or Ritz-Carlton? IMHO, the average Ritz
is much nicer than any of the Vegas hotels (not that I've stayed at many, but have
walked thru almost all of the Vegas hotels :-)

The MiraCosta reminded me very much of the Ritz-Carlton here in Los Angeles, except much nicer! The MiraCosta sort of reminded me of a superior Ritz-Carlton if you disregard the fact that the MiraCosta is Italian-themed.
