TDLFAN's Spring Carnival visit at TDS.

Hello all, I was able to attend TDS' official debut day of their last 5th anniversary event "Spring Carnival" on March 21st, 2007. This carnival is best described as a very small sampling of EPCOT's Flower Fest, with special decor, lagoon show, menus and merchandise. The lagoon show called "Primavera" is a colorful pageant of dancers and characters, stilt performers, comedy, jugglers, music and fun. The show takes place around the edge of the lagoon, stretching from Lido Sage, all the way around to Zambini Bros. Restarant front area. Very colorful affair, with minimal use of watercraft..

The buildings around Mediterranean Harbor are decorated with flowery motifs, and Ponte Becchio in particular looks very nice, with the extra flower pots and banners... etc.

The Roman Ruins gardens have been turned into a springtime tribute to Pinocchio, which is quite perfect given the fact that Pinocchio is always tied to the italian feel of Med Harbor.

Anyways... without further ado... here are the photos from all that stuff...
    Enjoy.

Holy crap, that's a long line just to get into the park!

I'm not familar with Porte Becchio. What and where is that in the park?

If I had any reservations about using a flower motif for fashion, they were quickly snuffed after seeing those beautiful dresses from the opening group of dancers! It's like STYLE! and Wish! from Dramatic DisneySEA all over again!! Heck, I'm only three photos into what you took, and I'm already in love with the show. What does that tell you about TDS's production value, nay-sayers?

SQUEE!! Chip & Dale look so cute in their Primavera costumes! I love it!!

Why do I have this odd feeling that huge shield under the new Sindbad sign is going to be made into a pin if it has not already?

I'm in love with your night shots of Raging Spirits....

Thank you, again, TDLFAN for bringing the beauty and the spender of TDS. Seeing those photos makes me wish my flight coming back to the states from Venice had a "detour."

"Ponte Vecchio" is the bridge in "Mediterranean Harbor" between "Columbus Circle" (American Waterfront) and the "Fortress Exploration" show viewing area. It's the first bridge that the "Tokyo DisneySea Transit Steamer Line" goes under if boarding at MedHarbor. The bridge is designed and named after the real thing in Venice.

I'll make a note to check out the real thing when I'm in Venice this June for La Biannallie.

Doubtful. Pin Trading is not something they do at TDR anymore, mercifully.
However, they do sell an Spring carnival event logo pin, which I bought for my TDR pin collection.

I was fortunate enough to go to Tokyo Disney Sea on the 23rd and the Spring Carnival was beautiful. I also got the Spring Carnival Pin!

As always, great photos! I have to admit Aquatopia looks like it would be a blast to ride at night.
