I've just seen another video of this attraction and never realise how dark and sinister this new attraction was,when compared to how family friendly and cute the rest of the park is!

We saw it 6 years ago and it was pretty cool, but in Japanese so it lost some of its charm on us. But it was dark and spooky. We do hope to get back someday esp since DisneySeas was only under construction when we were there.

This is why I think OLC had no problem in dropping the attraction as its overall theme didn't fit in with the rest of the park.I mean the main character is the Horn King from the The Black Cauldron which was a movie that Disney often rarely mentions due to its dark story and poor performance.Also I think the fact its a one of attraction and was never repeated except for the Dragon lair at DLP says it all.Not something Disney wants to be associated with.

By the way MAXandBELLESmom you really need to make a return visit.So many things have changed the new park is great and TDL also has some new attractions like Pooh which is a must.

we plan on it someday. Pooh was opening a month or so after we were there. this was before we were married and had kids. My mom works for an airlines so we flew for very cheap and my cousin was working there teaching english so we had a place to stay. We want to return, but will wait until the kids are opld enough to really enjoy it (and we need to save up too)

And yet, they still clone Splash Mountain, which is based off of a movie that was locked away in the Disney Vault like the arch at the end of the first Indiana Jones film.... ironic, huh?
