A Face Character Question

Since Tokyo Disneyland has Amercians play the face characters do they use multiple people for one character like at Disneyland CA where they have one for meet n greets and a different person for the parade or does the same person do both. I figure each face character has an understudy though.

Actually not all of the face characters are American. Some of them also hail from Australia and other parts... as long as they look the part. I have seen some of the same people do the greet and meets and parades as well.. and sometimes, they are different actors. It depends on the day of your visit I guess.

At TDL, the Mad Hatter I met had a fairly standard American accent, while the Alice had a nicely tuned British accent. But neither could compare to when they spoke Japanese; the kids' faces would totally light up. Even though it was just a few words and phrases, the look on the little girl's face when Alice asked her name and where she came from... Priceless.

Anyway, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Cinderella I saw doing a morning walkabout was the same one as in the Movin' On parade later. So that's at least a partial confirmation from me

They usually have a few people for each character, and they are each approved in more than one role. One person will do morning sets and parade while another will come in for the evening. Tokyo is much better about character consistency throughout the day. That way you will most likely see the same person.

Yup... TDR overall in pretty consistent in *everything* they do, and always consistently beating the crap out of the other Disney resorts in the US, Paris and Hong Kong in overall quality.
