Recommended counter service restaurants?

I'll be at the Tokyo Disneylan Resort next month and I'd like to try some counter service restaurants. Which ones do you recommend at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySeas? I can eat pretty much anything, except for raw broccoli (I never could get a taste for it).

Adventureland- Cafe Orleans

Fantasyland- Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall

Critter Country- Grandma Sara's Kitchen

Tokyo DisneySea

Mediterranean Harbor- Cafe Portofino

Zambini Brothers' Ristorante

Mysterious Island- Vulcania

Nautilus Galley

Mermaid Lagoon- Sebastian's Calypso Kitchen

Arabian Coast- Casbah Food Court

Lost River Delta- Miguel's El Dorado Cantina

American Waterfront- New York Deli

Cape Cod Cook-Off


All of these counter service/buffeteria restaurants are excellent for a quick bite to eat and are very beautifully themed, both on the outside and on the inside.

I prettymuch second that... But I will also add the small restaurant complex in Adventureland across from the Orleans Theater. They serve asian noodle dishes and other stuff there... very nice menu items if you dig asian food.

But honestly, I wanted to ask for good full service restaurants. I guess I will have to do another post.

The Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall was a big hit with us. Loved the atmosphere and good food!

And Miguel's El Dorado Cantina. Mmmmm - especially when you haven't had good Mexican in months. So maybe I'm not a good gauge.

The New York Deli was very good - but the portions were Japanese-sized (which may leave you wanting more if you are a big eater.) Recommended if you are in the mood for American food.

I enjoyed all the counter-service restaurants I tried (and noted by others already)...

Vulcania for its moody and rugged atmosphere.

Grandma Sara's Kitchen for its coziness and views of a portion of the Splash Mountain flume.

China Voyager for its wonderful theming -- both in the queue and in the adjoining dining room.

Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall for its uniqueness... and don't miss the Unbirthday Cake.

Just be aware that the portion size at TDR counter-service places are very much on the small side. Once in a while the price reflects this but not always. Just FYI...

OMG, the gyoza dumplings at Nautilus Galley in Mysterious Island, DisneySea were the best counter service food to us. We ate 6 orders in one sitting!

I had an absolutely delicious cream of vegetable soup and veal meatloaf at Cafe Portofino. Oh, and the Casbah Food Court has one of the best curries I've ever had; just as good as some authentic Indian restaurants.
