In the book Imagineering, published in 1996, there is a picture of a model of Tokyo DisneySea. One thing I read about Tower of Terror is that it was an "emergency" E-Ticket, built based on complaints that there were not enough E-Tickets in the park.
But on page 75 Hotel Hightower can be see plain as day in the American Waterfront. It seems that as early as 1996 Hotel Hightower was planned to open with the park but they decided to wait for whatever reason. Was Raging Spirits the "emergency E-Ticket" or am I mistaken? It's not in the original model.
Another interesting thing I noticed was that the Stormrider building was originally supposed to look like a mobile vessell instead of a stationary whether station/research center or whatever the hell it's supposed to be. It looked pretty cool in the model, "docked" in Port Discovery.
The last difference I noticed was a large building in Mediterrean Harbor that is present in the model but not in the park today. It's placed where that huge wall is that runs along to path to Mysterious Island. Behind it would be the dock for the boats/show floats. It looks big enough to house a decent sized attraction, especially some kind of Soarin' variant.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'll try to get a picture of it as soon as possible, but the image in the book is pretty small. If anyone can shed some light on this model it would be greatly appreciated.
