Wonderful trip report. The Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall is one of my favorite eateries in any Disney park. It just perfectly captures the essence of fantasy and magic for me, and it is very decorated and pretty inside.

I guess it was worth it. We had already bought the stuff and really had no other choice. My wife wanted a Minnie Mouse suit case that was at the Disney Store and she hadn't really bought any other souveniers so we figured that we'd just buy that and pay the extra cost for an additional suit case. It would have probably been a bit cheapier to send the stuff by mail but that's life. Looking back, I don't even remembered what it cost so it must not have been that big of a deal in the big picture.

Can't speak for Malin, but I chose Tokyo Disneyland as my first day last trip because I knew it would be the least crowded then. Generally, Disney fans I've spoken to visit Tokyo Disneyland first as to not overload their senses when they first visit Tokyo DisneySea.

People have told me that Tokyo Disneyland would pale in comparison theming wise after visiting Tokyo DisneySea, so that's why they choose to visit the former first; to enjoy the Magic Kingdom style park first before being blown away by the visual feast that is Tokyo DisneySea.

Tokyo DisneySea's depth of detail certainly seems on a totally different par to MK-style (just looking at your pic TDR_Fan, it's just completely different to MK in every respect).

Good question main reason is that while I admire Tokyo Disney Sea I had done it before and didn't feel the urge to want to go there first this time. I also wanted to check out the Halloween event and POTC first.

Remind me again is POTC at Tokyo a clone of WDW's or what?

No. It's more of a clone of Disneyland's down to the Blue Bayou lagoon. It only has one drop though.

And I've noticed that in the Tokyo Disneyland version, the AAs were a bit more advanced and always in perfect condition.

I don't know what's most advanced about them. They looked the same to me, in their condition to.

AA's all apear to be the same to me. But the actual ride experience seems to be a bit more crisp in Tokyo, like efects and soundtrack. Personally I find the DLR version a bit long and WDW too short TDR version seems to have got the timing right. Through it doesn't include the second drop which many feel takes something away from the attraction.

    Re: Malin's TDR Trip Report

I personally think Paris' POTC is perfect (design-wise) combining two drops, a great new running order and French pirates...ok maybe that's a downside. I was just wondering, I presume it's got similar 'enhancements'
