Any rides having Downtime this Christmas for both parks?

Yeah, the family has decided to go to Japan this year, rather than last year, so simple question.

Are any rides having downtime for Maintenance etc? Mainly Indy at TDS seeing as we didn't get a chance last time due to Maintenance checks.

    Cheers.

    Hello-

Do the attractions at TDR get refurbed more than the stateside parks? I'll be going next November and was looking at the current refurb list, hoping that the attractions I definately want to see get refurbed before we go. I'll be out of my head if the Pooh ride or anything at TDS are scheduled to be closed when we are there (somewhere between Nov 7th-20th).

    Thanks

The answer is yes. In fact, all attractions are closed at least one period a year. Some are closed two or three times a year. OLC has always been known to run a pretty tight ship with regards to attraction maintenance and it got even more strict after the "Space Mountain" incident a few years back.

I'm glad they have annual refurbs for all of their attractions and shows. It keeps them looking brand new and fresh as opposed to other Disney resorts, where some attractions are falling apart or not in proper working condition. I've yet to see a single effect turned off at Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea to save costs.

That's very encouraging. I certainly hope the unique attractions to the Tokyo parks are open when we visit.

On another note. Is there any word of the TDL Haunted Mansion receiving the same effects treatment that WDW recently got?

I would love to see that and it probably will be a matter of time. Currently, TDL's MH has the Nightmare overlay, which is something I wish they did for Xmas at WDW.
