Poll 2 - Rumored DisneySea Soarin' Ride - What Would You Name It?

Recapping the first thread -

Following Tokyo Disneyland's 25th Anniversary this year (April, 15th), the resort will start firming up plans for DisneySeas 10th Anniversary, which will take place on Sept. 4th, 2011. As a part of the celebration, rumor has it that a Soarin' ride will be announceded, and open either in 2011 or 2012. If the attraction finds a home at the park, what do you think it should be called?

In this second thread, I have incorporated the names from the first poll that had the best response, along with the best of the Soarin' name suggestions that were offered by MiceChatters in the first thread. It should be interesting to see what everyones choices are for this second poll.

We had some fantastic discussions and suggestions during the course of the previous thread. Love your suggested name TDR_Fan - Soarin' Over the Mediterranian. It would fit the park quite beautifully - especially the Italy based Mediterranian area. Decided that it would be a good idea to make this poll progressive.

I only hope that this concept makes it off the drawing board and becomes the next addition to the park. Many close sources have already confirmed that a version of Soarin' is being considered, but it's anyone's guess if it will be greenlighted.

Keep in mind that neither Disney or OLC are going to concentrate on anything new having to do with DisneySea until after the time comes and goes for Tokyo Disneyland's 25th Anniversary. Not only do I think that Soarin' will be at the top of the list for the 10th Aniversary of DisneySea, I think it's highly possible that a second attraction may well be revealed as well.

Yes, it is important to focus on Tokyo Disneyland's very special 25th Anniversary right now. And I hope you're right about a second E-ticket attraction. Soarin' is nice and all, but I'm hoping for an even bigger attraction to be revealed for DisneySea's 10th Anniversary. A double announcement would surely be crowd-pleasing.

not very familiar with TDS layout. Anyone care to post apicture of where this attraction might fit.

I am curious because the show building for Soarin is huge. In DCA they were able to sink it down to help make the building seem smaller but i doubt that would be an option in Tokyo where the water level is much higher.

Would this building loom over parts of the park or even over parts of Disneyland Park next door.

It's supposed to be going behind the Roman Ruins, seen here:

And rumors point to the show building being very well themed, so there's less of a problem with it being seen like there is at Epcot (where it stands tall over World Showcase, dwarfing the Canada pavillion).

I like the "Soarin' Over the Mediterranian" using Da Vinci Flying Machines as a themed vehicle. I know there was previous talk about Jiminy Cricket for the attraction, but I don't like that. Or if it's a "Soarin' Over the World", the projection should focus on historical and natural beauties, no modern structures. And the last location to visit at the end could be Japan .

Not to flame the fire even more but today at TDS, I could see a construction crane right behind the Roman Ruins.. and for what little I could see.. it does seem like there is something happening back there. Then again... it could just be related to the current BraviSEAmo! rehab. They also had a crane in the middle of the lagoon.

I have heard that before anything can go behind the Roman Ruins, the backstage area that sits behind it needs to be re organised. Could this be the reason for the cranes. Not to build Soarin but to prepare the area for future use. Its a lot more exciting to think its something like this rather than just a general refurb for BraviSEAmo.

I agree. But most likely, if all rumors are true, construction should be starting either this year or early 2009.
