I agree with you. They have released so much of their music on time that having this new 25th anniversary collection is not a big deal to me. I'll buy just for collecting purposes but that's about it. I am more excited about the Dream Box dvd collection to be honest...
Makes the Disneyland 50th History of Music Box Set look even more attractive. I'm glad I have mine sitting next to my vynal LP of Snow White.

Wow, so there is absolutely nothing that has not been released on CD in some form already. All of that countdown stuff was either on the Treasures of Fantasy set, or the 2000 and 2001 CD releases....sigh...oh well, like TDLFAN, I'll just get this for collection purposes....Originally Posted by JoeInJpn

Part of the problem is that most TDR attraction soundtracks are similar, if not the same ones, we have from the US already. TDL's musical history has been so dependant upon the special events and parades, that it is such music that entices the japanese fans to remember the park more fondly. Just an observation.... Of course, I would have loved the entire "Get the Fever" soundtrack.
Well, how many CDs are they planning on this being. Certainly not just 1 if they're going to include full shows of what people are voting on. If it's more than one cd they have room for an extra or two. If it's just the theme from the event and not the whole show they certainly have room for an extra or two unless they shove the top 5 from each vote onto there.

Did anyone else notice that you can no longer buy the Treasures of Fantasy set at TDR?
Didn't help they changed the Storybook store to that uppity clothing shop.
What a disappointment the rehab was at least to that block. I won't make any final judgment until they finish the rest of the redo but they removed my fav. store (Storybook) and substantially reduced the arcade (a personal fav.). We were really bummed on our trip that the other block was pretty much closed (the bank and one store were open) as well as the Emporium. Half of World Bazaar was closed during our visit. Other than that though we had a blast and still spent too much money.
The Grand Emporium has been closed for rehab since early february. The Disney Gallery and Home Store have reopened, practically unchanged from before the rehab. Disney Gallery still features the Disney dogs exhibit which will be closing soon for a new 25th anniversary related exhibit to open in April. Home Store area next to American Waffle Co. does not sell anything POTC anymore.
I cannot see why they cannot do a musical history box set like that. Instead of attractions which may be the same soundtrack as the ones here in the states, they can have the majority be event music with exclusive TDR versions of attractions sprnkled on it. That way, you can have the entire Get the Fever soundtrack, someone else can get Compass of Your Heart, and someone else can get the Countdown Parade from last year all in one nice and huge box set of CDs.

Yes, I would love to have the full "Mickey Mouse Revue" show, as well as more "Meet the World" tracks, and other TDR exclusive stuff. Yeah, most of the classic attractions are similar to the US counterparts, but even some of those have not been released fully in the US. Especially some of the Fantasyland stuff.
Maybe some of this stuff can't be used by OLC due to copyrights? I don't know.

i love the "treasures of fantasy" set from Tokyo Disneyland! I got mine 4 1/2 years ago from a friend of mine who went to japan evrey year and she got me the set! I don't really listen to it because its in pristine condition since i got it. I think its one of the best sets that has come out of Tokyo with most of its early shows & parades!. Maybe the park recently pulled the Treasures set from the shelves due to the 25th anniversary coming up? I really do hope that they release a "25th Anniversary Best Album" like they did with the 20th, and 15th! The jubliation parade artwork looks spectacular im sure the music will be awesome as well!.
