Western River Railroad trains ?

Hello !
I'm looking for some information about TDL' Western River Railroad. What I have a hard time finding are numbers and names of the engines ? I suppose there are only two, anybody know their names ?

Thanks a lot if you do !
Tata.

I thought there were more than two. I know they are named after states. There's the "Colorado" I know for sure. Let me do a little digging.

Ok, there are actually four engines. All four of the engines are named after famous rivers in the United States. They are, #25 the "Rio Grande", #28 the "Missouri", #53 the "Colorado", and #20 the "Mississippi". Three were operating on opening day, and the fourth, the "Mississippi" was added to the line in 1991.

Re: Western River Railroad trains ?

A friend of mine from Canada sent me a magazine from Japan on Tokyo Disneyland, and there was a few pictures of the engines and their headlight/tender art. So I scanned a section...

Re: Western River Railroad trains ?

I just got a copy of the new book "Tokyo Disney Resort Dream", and it's got a lovely 2 page photo spread with three of the four engines all lined up. It can't be in a roundhouse, because it's outside, but the three are side-by-side, so there must be a place to "park" them all like that. Also, the DVD that comes with the book "The Colors of Tokyo Disney Resort" has some nice shots of the WRR in action. It shows 3 of the four engines also. Oh, and I noticed that the reason they have 4 engines is that there are fewer cars hooked up to each. There are only 3 or 4 passenger cars hooked up to each at a time, so it allows for more trains on the track.

Oh, and I have to add that the green "Tomy" flags on the cattle prods of each engine are kind of funny to me, because they make them seem like giant toys made by Tomy...
