Disney underestimates the Love of the original show INHO.. yesterday at the 45th Anniv of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room at DL, Disney was caught totally unprepared for the turnout numbers.... the lines were eternal for the signing, Disney had a very low number of many items, and the poor CMs were overwhelmed by a sea Tiki Room attendees who traveled from many corners of the world to be there for the event.
Come on Disney! This is one of your most beloved attractions!!! I wonder how much $$$ you made from the items you placed out yesterday in DL that many items were sold out in a few short minutes!?!?!? Being one of the ONLY attractions that Walt Disney personally had his named attatched to, this was clearly one of Walt's favorite and most loved attractions...and the Magic still lives on in the hearts of many! Now if only you would bring the DL show back to WDW orlando so the rest of us can Sing Like The Birdies Do in Cali!
Well, I had this CD in my wish list on Amazon, and now the cover art finally showed up. It has the Tiki Room with Stitch artwork...so, I wonder if this CD will have the new attraction on it? There is no tracklist or much description, so it's hard to tell, but I don't know why they would use that art if it was not included.
Sounds interesting. My question is, though, how much of the original show is going to be left? Is Stitch going to invade the previously-existing Tiki Room? Or are the birds being evicted?
As for it headed to WDW, I'd really doubt it. WDW already has a Stitch-focused attraction (Stitch Encounter, in Tomorrowland), which was not well-received, nor is it well-attended. I don't think they're willing to take the risk of over-saturating the character's presence within a single park, or chancing the attraction being a flop, especially when the two attractions are so similar in nature. So unless Stitch Encounter goes down, or they replace it with this show, I wouldn't expect to see this one in Florida.

Well, there will not be any of the original Tiki Room songs in the show. I don't know what birds they will use, whether they are the original ones, the "Get the Fever" crew, or an entirely new set. I do know that the songs performed will all be from Lilo & Stitch, and the various sequels & TV series...and maybe a few Hawaiian songs thrown in. Also, the show is going to be much shorter than the previous ones, so there is not as much wiggle-room to add material.
My guess is the birds will introduce the show the way they do in "Under New Management" (only without the homage to the original), and hand the show off to Stitch who will probably cause some mischief while singing his songs with accompanyment by the various residents of the Tiki Room. We'll have to wait and see how the show turns out though.
I wonder if the Stitch AA is gonna be as good as the Florida Stitch AA.
They should have just shipped WDW's Stitch AA overseas, and give WDW back Alien Encounter. In a perfect world, neither a Tiki Room Stitch AA or an Alien Encounter Stitch AA would exsist. Anyway, this Stitch Tiki Room has to be better than Tiki Room Under New Management. The bathrooms are more of an attraction than Tiki Room Under New Management.
