Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

Spoiler

So it isn't Claire's Mom. But better yet... IT'S BEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's how he's gonna convince her to go back to the island!!!!! Gotta love Ben!

THE FRENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So is this Rousseau's crew? If so this was a genius way of bringing them back into the story. How I would love to see Rousseau again. And better yet.... Miles????????

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

The entire episode worth it if only for the end (though the entire episode was brilliant).
Spoiler

So I apologize for my misprint earlier. I couldn't quite see who was on Frenchie's boat. But the actual person is so much better. JIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he's confused as hell over seeing Danielle.

And those last few seconds just made my day. Danielle is back!!!!! I'm hoping they spend quite some time in this period (so we can learn more about her and her crew). Then I'm hoping they eventually fast forward a bit so we can see Mira Furlan back!

Back to the future, love how almost all the Oceanic 6 are at the Dock. Ben has to remind Kate that Aaron is not hers (love how he so bluntly admits to trying to take him). Sun in sitting with Aaron waiting to kill (though I imagine Locke's message to her will be that Jin is still alive). Sayid doesn't quite know what to do. And Jack is hopefully gonna keep some type of order.

Cannot wait to see where this goes. While I personally liked the Mythology of last week a bit better, this was a fantastic episode with a brilliant ending. Thank you Carlton & Damon (& cast & crew)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, LOST is back!

Anyone catch the Ajira Airways mention? If you haven't heard about it, there was a promotional website that popped up in The Fray's latest ABC music video:

Ajira Airways: Destination Destiny

And to crack it:

That was an awesome episode! Do you think Jin is jumping through time at the same pace as everyone else? I sort of get the feeling he isn't. I gasped when they found him on that piece of the freighter, and I gasped again when he woke up on the beach. Yay!
And yes, I loved Sawyer's lines in the... rickshaw(?) too.

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

So here's that thing ABC advertised called "Lost:Untangled". It's a sum-up of the episode with dolls (I'm sorry, "collectible figurines") and cut-outs. The guy narrating and doing the voices actually does some pretty decent impersonations.

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/48bda4baaf82f1d1/498a988037cbcde3/48bda4baaf82f1d1/61341357/-cpid/2a23f1152a5d4ee1" id="W48bda4baaf82f1d1498a988037cbcde3" width="308" height="235"><param name="movie" value="http://widgets.clearspring.com/o/48bda4baaf82f1d1/498a988037cbcde3/48bda4baaf82f1d1/61341357/-cpid/2a23f1152a5d4ee1" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowNetworking" value="all" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /></object>

If the above link doesn't work, go to www.abc.com and it's right on the front page.

Another thought about the episode: I wonder how Godiva feels about tonight's episode? Sure, their logo wasn't on the box of Sun's Candy, but that was clearly one of their large gold ballotins (seriously what it's called-- I worked for a place that sold them).

Jennifer Godwin, on the Watch with Kristen website (Kristen's preggers, I don't know how far along) talks about tonight's episode.

Lost Redux: Can Jack Be Trusted? - E! Online

"Sawyer was positively lovestruck at the sight of Day 41!Kate, but he's also teetering along the edge of something that looks a lot like romantic hopelessness. The only that keeps him going would seem to be Juliet, with whom he's been happily partnered with since the Island moved. If you ask me, Juliet and Sawyer are too busy becoming birds-of-a-feather BFF to really get down and dirty, but tell me if I'm seeing it wrong."
Jeff Jensen writes a prelude to his ginourmous article on tonight's episode which will be released tomorrow (you follow?). There's also an interview at the end with a certain actor who's (still, yay!) on the show.

I agree with Knittingknerd. I think Jin is jumping through time at the same pace. He's just spent the entire time semi-unconscious on a plank of wood, so he hasn't realized what was happening until now.

He's gotta be jumping as well. How else could he have been there when Rousseau got to the Island?

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

I would agree that lost is back. I did not like the show two years ago when it felt like they were dragging their feet with the story. Now, however, they are going a break neck speed.

I also agree: so far the Funniest Line of the season, Sawyer looking up at the sky during the flash and yelling, "Thank you Lord!!!!!!!!.... I take that back!!!!!!!!"

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

I don't like how the Extended Experience bounces back and forth to merely echoing things that characters literally just said and being a lot of recap that most people that have followed the show would know and spoiling some pretty major reveals.

Like who Daniel's mother is.

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

Here is the article by Jeff Jensen on last night's episode.

'Lost' recap: Life goes on | Lost | 1 | TV Recaps | Totally 'Lost' | EW.com

Quote:
"I liked Kate's scenes with Jack. Here is a woman who not so much fell out of love with Jack but rather fell out of trust with him, if that makes sense. We saw her want to trust him again, and he seemed well on the road to earning that trust, too...until Kate saw Ben drive up and heard Jack say, It's okay, he's with us or something and she looked at him like, Are you freakin' high?! More on this next week."
An author named Nikki Stafford, who has her own blog I haven't read before (but sounds pretty good), writes about the episode and the show as a whole on Doc Arzt's blog.

What Nikki Noticed: 5.04 “The Little Prince” DocArzt’s LOST Blog

Quote:
As I was saying in my post about last night’s episode, about three-quarters of the way through this episode I thought it was enjoyable and served as a great transition from one episode to the next. And then… Locke turned over the canister with the Little Prince reference written on it in French (“besixdouze”), and we cut to a raft of French people and one of them was named Montand, and I literally leapt off my couch yelling, “ROUSSEAUUUUUUU!!!!” and I hadn’t stopped jumping up and down when all of a sudden, “JIIIIINNNNNNNN!!!!”
I guess I totally forgot about Locke turning over that canister with the French on it. So I now get that everyone is time-travelling at the same pace.
Where the heck are Bernard and Rose?

And you can watch the episode right here.

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

Lost has gotten really awesome again, since last season it pretty much rocks. and i love the whole time travel thing, making the sci fi aspect of the show much less vague now.

Re: 'LOST' 5 - spoilers ahead, again

Here's a new Jeff Jensen article. It's very fun, sci-fi-ish and (it claims) a little spoilery.

'Lost': Time travel anxiety? Cured! | 1 | Doc Jensen on 'Lost' | TV | Totally 'Lost' | Entertainment Weekly

Quote:
5. THE NOODLE COOKER: NOW THAT WE KNOW THAT DANIELLE ROUSSEAU ENCOUNTERED JIN IN THE PAST, DID SHE KNOW WHO JIN WAS WHEN SHE FOUND THE CASTAWAYS AFTER THEY CRASHED ON THE ISLAND?
... A similar mystery surrounds Richard Alpert. We now know the ageless Other encountered Locke and company during the 1950s era of the Island. But did he possess those memories when he was trying to convince Locke to kill his dad and usurp Ben's leadership during season 3?
