We checked out the first two books on audio from our library and Tim ripped them to his music player (non-techno geek speaking) so we now have those to listen to next week on the way to and back from Anaheim!!

This is a pretty good show. It's nothing like I've ever seen before.

I bought the first book this week, but now I'm not sure I want to read it. I'm afraid it will ruin the suspense of the show, and also, then I'll start comparing the show to the book. I think I'll wait a bit before I read it.

For anybody who's read the book(s), does the show follow the books?

At first I was hesitant to watch it, but I like Anna Paquin. So I decided to watch it. I really enjoyed it. At first I didn't care for Bill Compton, but once he killed that couple I found him to be sexy. The story is growing on me. I am trying to figure out what is up with Sam(the bar owner) and I feel so bad for Tara. Now I tivo Desperate Housewives and Dexter. So I can watch True Blood.

Aw, such a sad (but good) show last night. I was wondering how Bill was turned to a vampire, and it was good to get some backstory on him. But the ending...boo hoo

We almost finished the first book on the way home. Just wait Jojo there is some hot stuff coming up. I still have not watched last night's episode as we did not make it back to the hotel in time but we have it on our DVR. You definitely need to check out the book.

the only bummer is HBO shows have such short seasons! i know when this one is done i'll be chomping at the bit for Season 2

I know what you mean Elly, just as you really get into the show, it's over. And, unfortunately, HBO has really long breaks in between seasons

. I just looked and it looks like there are 12 shows this season, so next week is the half-way point.

We finished book 2, unfortuantely book 3 and 4 are not available in audio format so we will have to go buy it and read them when we get time, unless of course Jojo you want to read them outloud to us?
