I've been doing a little poking around on the internet trying to find out any information about the airing of these last shows. Here is what I've found so far. Unfortunately it is nothing really conclusive.

1. If you go to the home page of Pushing Daisies on ABC.com you will see a count down widgit clock on the right hand side. This clock is supposedly counting down to the airing of the next episode. As of the time I am writing this it is at 5 days 5 hours 19 minutes and 41 seconds. That puts it on Saturday night. But Zap2It TV shows that ABC is repeating The Bachelor from tonight. So does Yahoo TV and TV Guide.

2. This source says that they won't burn off these episodes until Summer! I do not see anything on ABC that backs this up.

Quote:
• Closeouts. Finishing their unsuccessful runs last week: NBC's My Own Worst Enemy (3.9 million viewers Monday), and ABC's Wednesday duo Pushing Daisies (4.7 million) and Dirty Sexy Money (series-low 5.1 million). Both ABC shows will air a few remaining episodes next summer.
In looking things up I found this interview with TV Guide that Kristin Chenoweth did. It sheds some light on the cast members feeling regarding the cancellation.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the last 3 will be sooner rather than later.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

it was stated on TV guide that ABC has to air the last 3 episodes contractually but heard that they might just show it all in one night....then on an ABC Pushing Daisies chat... there was a blog from an exec threatening not to show them..... I wish they will just show them soon for the fans!!!

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

On the Watch with Kristen page on E! it states again that Pushing Daisies, along with Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money, may not air until the summer. By then, we'll be able to watch the final three episodes on DVD!
Actually, I don't know when the DVD is supposed to be released for season 2, but I bet it'll be some time around then.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

This is so frustrating. The guy from Scrubs was on Regis and Kelly and saying how the programing guy on ABC liked their show so much, and why did NBC cancel it and we'll pick up your show, etc. Made me mad that they didn't care as much about PD. I've heard the rumor also about the final episodes being shown in the Summer. And they sure as heck better put these Season 2 episodes on a DVD!!!

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

At least ABC is acknowledging this show and the others they canceled but what it boils down to is they don't have an air date for the final episodes. Also, Pushing Daisies is now gone from ABC.com's website.

Quote:
For what it's worth, the head of ABC is also frustrated that second-year shows "Pushing Daisies," "Eli Stone" and "Dirty Sexy Money" didn't grab bigger audiences this season.

"Most of the time when shows don't work, you can really, in hindsight, look back and kick yourself and say, 'I should have seen that.' I really love these shows," McPherson said Friday during ABC's day at the TCA press tour. "I commend the producers on these shows. They did a great job. They delivered what they promised. So for us, it was just a frustration that we couldn't get a larger audience."

Frustration or not, ABC doesn't have any concrete plans to air the remaining episodes of the three series; there have been reports that the other episodes will be burned off as late as the summer. At any rate, McPherson says finding a home for the final episodes isn't as simple as just, say, turning over a Saturday night to a marathon of a show.

"There are affiliate complications. There are rights and clearance complications at times, and sometimes it's just about [the fact that] we have a very difficult schedule, and you're looking at opportunity lost when either replacing something or promoting something like that," he says. "So you have to weigh those options. ... The real estate on air, there's nothing more valuable than our real estate. So while it might seem easy -- just run them off -- it really isn't that simple."

The writers strike and the subsequent long layoff for "Daisies" and "Dirty Sexy Money" undoubtedly contributed to their ratings slide this fall. But McPherson says putting the two shows back on the air in the spring wasn't really a viable option either.

"We could have probably gotten maybe two or three episodes of the Wednesday-night shows, for example, on the air in the spring," he says. "What we were worried about then, honestly, is we were looking at a [possible] SAG strike and then worried that that would completely disintegrate the fall. ... So we made the gamble [to wait until fall]."

From today's Ask Ausiello Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'The Office,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Medium,' 'Chuck,' '24,' 'Brothers & Sisters,' and more! | Ask Ausiello | Ausiello Files | EW.com

Question: When is ABC going to air the last episodes of Pushing Daisies? -- Tina
Ausiello:
Based on Steve McPherson's remarks at press tour last week, I'm guessing sometime between never and when hell freezes over. Something tells me those final three eps won't see the light of day until Daisies' season 2 DVD drops -- assuming it does drop. In far happier news, Warner Bros. has give Bryan Fuller the okay to keep Daisies alive in comic book form. Now it's just a matter of Fuller ironing out all the details with DC Comics. I suspect there will be something official to report by month's end.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

I just grow more and more angry with every press release from ABC regarding this show. I honestly can't even explain how upset I am that they just completely dropped the ball on these last couple episodes.
It's bad enough to cancel my favorite show but then to say things that make it seem like it's our fault they're not airing it or that just prove you never cared in the first place and that you just don't understand is ridiculous.
I honestly want to boycott ABC and everything affiliated with it (which is difficult you know being a Disney nerd and all).
I might be over reacting but I don't even care anymore

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

Yeah, I feel the same way. I don't want to give up hope though. I mean Fuller went to the trouble to redo the last episode so there would be some kind of reasonable ending. There sure as heck better be a Season 2 DVD!

And, I am not in the least bit interested in a comic book format of this show. It was the actors who made this show what it was.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

ABc actually cared a lot about Daisies. They brought it back for a second season witha huge marketing campaign after it did horribly the first season. That shows a lot of good faith, but the show was doing really low numbers. I mean it was brilliant, but can you really say they didn't care about it?

The show was doing half of what America's Funniest Hoem videos did BTW.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

Check this out from this week's Ask Ausiello!
Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Desperate Housewives,' 'House,' 'Battlestar,' 'Lost,' 'Brothers & Sisters,' 'Scrubs,' 'Heroes,' 'Daisies,' 'Ugly Betty,' and more! | Ask Ausiello | Ausiello Files | EW.com

Quote:
Question: Is there any news on anything Pushing Daisies related? -- Eric
Ausiello:
Yes, there are three new developments -- and, believe it or not, all of them are positive! 1) I'm told Warner Bros. will definitely be releasing a season 2 DVD. 2) After undergoing a major post production tweaking, the series finale is now a loose-end-tying-up extravaganza. 3) And the inimitable Ellen Greene is in talks with Heroes to return as Sylar's mom during May sweeps.
Ellen Greene has been playing the role of Aunt Vivian. I also remember reading (I think on Ausiello's site) that Bryan Fuller's been working on having Swoosie Kurtz play one of Angela Petrelli's long-time friends.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

Yes! A second season DVD. I'm so happy about that. Now, we just need to find out when those last 3 episodes are going to be shown.

You know, I've never watched Heros but I think I'm going to have to give it a look see.

I could not agree more.

In the final analysis, this show was just too good for American network TV.

Too bad.

Why isn't this being picked up by one of these cable networks that are so busy trotting out original programming and new series these days? Here's a show that would have a built-in and loyal audience to start with.

Re: Pushing Daisies Season 2-- Spoilers Ahead

Bryan Fuller will be showing the last 3 episodes of Pushing Daisies at the Paley Festival this April 19 at the Cinematic Dome in Hollywood-- tickets are on sale on 2/26 to members 1st then to the public on 3/1... notice claims tickets usually sell out to members..... to become a member it is $70 for individual and $100 family and someone hinted $450 for premium seats for the showing.... Would love to be there but not for that kind of $$$$

Holy moly! That's one way to make sure loyal viewers don't watch the show.
