Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

Arggg...... after last week I thought that this was going to be a good season. I don't know who wrote last night show but it sure was not the same person as last week. Last night was kind of a mess with lots of running around but at the same time kind of pointless.

Spoiler
Daphne gets shot and Matt only thinks about getting revenge?? Where is the grief?

The only good part was having Sylar get a sidekick.

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

Sylar was definitely the best part of last night's episode. My favorite line was, "You're alive. That is kind of a big deal for me."

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

I felt it was good, but I agree that some of the characters' motives needed more exposition. Sylar's and Luke's scenes were my favorite parts of the episode. I'm bummed that Daphne got killed off so fast, but it sort of summed up her role on the show. All of a sudden, she and Matt were in love. So now, all of a sudden, she's dead. It would be nice for Matt to find someone he loves, and not have her be unfaithful or get killed by a special ops soldier. But it would make sense for his character next time to be unsure during the pursuit for love. Both sides should have to work for it next time.
A few more episodes from now should be about the time when the big shake-up in the writing staff/creative dept takes place, right?

Eh. It didn't hold my interst too much.
And it's starting to get really bloody and gory. I couldn't even look at the screen during most of sylar's scenes

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

Sylar's the only storyline keeping me watching this show, and even that's wearing thin. How many quests for true parentage can one character have? I have a feeling that this one is dropping off of our DVR list pretty soon.

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

I liked Dan Byrd's role. The shrug. It's good to see him on t.v. even if it is for silly stuff. I didn't like the whole Claire storyline, I hate her to begin with though.

What I thought was awesome is miraculously all the trailer clothes fit!

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

Here's a thought that occured to me yesterday: remember when Daphne and Ando arrived at the crash scene and Ando was freaking out because he was hoping Hiro wasn't dead? Also, remember Daphne reassuring Ando that Hiro couldn't be dead, because he kills him in the future? Well, that timeline was altered once the formula was destroyed, so that future is now irrelevant, right?
Maybe I'm expecting the characters to be smarter? Perhaps Daphne never saw "Back to the Future 2" and wasn't aware of string theory?

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

OMG I love Sylar!
I just watched this week's show. And his little sidekick is the best friend from Cinderella Story. It's good to see he's all grown up and still acting. I always like him.

Sylar is just so delicious. When he saw that the kid has an ability, that look he gave was just HOT.

I like the direction the show is going in. I like that they are drawing some lines of who's on what side. It was so ambiguous for so long. I like knowing who is evil and who is not.

I have to say that by far he is probably one of the most popular characters, if not most popular bad guys, around. I have heard it say before "everyone's favorite villian" in reference to him. He is hilarious at times, and I still can't get over those catterpillars he has for eyebrows. And on a side note, there was a Jonas Brothers video where the middle brother Joe, was dressed as a nerd with really thick eyebrows. He would make a good casting spot for a young Sylar, if they needed one.

And it will be interesting to see Zachary Quinto (Sylar) playing Spock in the upcoming Star Trek movie. I guess it was the eyebrows, or the almost Vulcan way he handles dialogue in the show that made him perfect for that role!

No, no no, his best line was "Even I don't need an ability to know that was a lie!" (to Luke's mom when she said she loved him and wants to see him happy.)

I could be off on the wording, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went.

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

I keep watching this show....just out of curiosity...like slowing down to see how bad the car wreck was. This series had so much promise when it started.

And then...either the writers started literally making this stuff up the night before...or they are all on crack.

It really doesn't seem like it would be that hard to write an amazing story line with this cast and some of the key ideas that they started with. But what we get every week is like watching an episode of "Whose Line Is It Anyway." I mean...come up with new characters....ANYTHING. I know it's supposed to be comic bookish in nature, but at some point, you still need a decent plot.

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

I was happy when Sylar saved Luke on tonight's episode. Batman and Robin are still together!
Next week's episode looks to be interesting, with the whole finding-out-Noah's-motive's thing.

Re: 'heroes: Fugitives'

I wish Sylar would've left Luke behind. That way we'd be spared more of the "instructing Luke in the dark side of the force" storyline. And I'd have to disagree about Gabriel being one of the best villains around. He can't even compare to Ben Linus on "Lost" and he's definitely more robotic than Cameron on Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Anyhow, it was good to see Hiro punching someone in the face for once.

The line about the lack of females in comic book stores simply isn't true! The writers should know better since some of them go to the same store I go to.
