Well I'll have time to watch this show after the Idol disappointment.

Re: New Fox Musical TV Series - Glee

I really liked it! The only problems I have are, I thought the lead girl was a little too loud and the lead guy was a little to quiet. When they were singing together, I could hardly hear him. Other than that, I'll watch it!

Re: New Fox Musical TV Series - Glee

^^ That fits the characters though. The lead guy is not used to singing with people - he's used to singing in the shower, for the most part, while the girl is totally used to being the center of attention and knows how to make sure that you are watching her first and foremost. I noticed the same thing and looked at it as a great job directing that performance.

I'm sure it will be a hit, but I still thought it was crap.

Flat characters with forced emotions and unlikeable personalities, who sing! What fun!

Loved the show and the song. Can't wait for this to come back in the fall. You can download the episode for free right now on iTunes

Re: New Fox Musical TV Series - Glee

I've had Journey stuck in my head all day at work because of this show. I've been humming it, various stages of singing, etc.

Re: New Fox Musical TV Series - Glee

i played the Glee cast version of Don't Step Believin' on my iPod for a friend at work to hear, then put my iPod on shuffle and the Journey version came up

i was equally happy to hear them both

I'm embarrased to admit, I watched Glee; I didn't expect much, I was impressed with how funny it was, it reminded me a bit of "The Office".

Re: New Fox Musical TV Series - Glee

I'm a little late at this reply, but I watched this on the Fox website last week. I wanted to watch it when it premiered, but I was busy at the time. Anyway, it was one of the best premieres for a show that I watched in a long time. I've had Don't Stop Believin' stuck in my head since that time.

I'll definitely be watching this in the Fall. I'm hoping this early premiere will give this show some momentum for the Fall. As much as I love it, I can see it getting canceled ala Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies.

Lea Michele was in it! I loved her in Spring Awakening and Les Miserables.

I agree. It's a brilliant show, but most brilliant shows either become less brilliant over time (Scrubs, which is still good but not as good as it used to be), have poor ratings and get canned way before their time (Invader ZIM or Firefly), or end up lasting JUST ENOUGH to get a following (Arrested Development).

Re: New Fox Musical TV Series - Glee

Update on the premiere date: Glee will now premiere on September 9th! You can also catch encore performances on Fridays for the first two weeks. If you still haven't seen the pilot, find it and watch it!! I believe it will air on Fox on Friday September 4th, but check your local listings to make sure.
