The only way I have come up with to describe it is it is sort of like Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. There is a narrator and it is visually stunning and whimsical. But it's more colorful and obviously the story is completely different. It is just making me smile so much, even though there is definite sadness.

I really recommend it and can't wait to hear what other people think. It is on tonight 8/7.
That is exactly what my mother and I were talking about when I watched it today (couldnt watch it last night due to work, so i made her tape it) it gave me the Lemony Snickets vibe and Tim Burton all mixed into one. It was a great show and I cant wait for next weeks!

I believe the narrator is the same guy that narrates the Harry Potter books

Honestly she was the only part I was kind of "eh" about. I mean... she did alright I just wasn't interested in her character at all

Re: Pushing Daisies

They are off to a good start. I too was hooked when I heard Jim Dale. It didn't hurt that I liked the story and characters. Hope it plays for a long time.

Me too! I had no idea she was going to be on the show, I hadn't heard any buzz about the show at all, other than the basic premise, so I was very pleasantly surprised!

Looks like they'll be re-airing the Pilot episode tomorrow night along with Private Practice starting at 8PM.

Okay the Chuck girl is cute in that picture, but in the show she has the bangs, the ton of blush, peachy gloss, it kinda' is a list. There she has very little makeup and I like her hair.

Re: Pushing Daisies

This is one of the strongest pilots I have ever seen. I was hooked after the opening shot of the fields.

I couldn't even imagine watching this show on SD television. So pretty to just look at...

I hope this doesn't come to another case of Wonderfalls -- great, great show that ended WAY too soon.

Here are a couple of good pictures in her Pushing Daisies makeup

I do like her better without the bangs and heavy makeup but I think this is part of the whole "look" of the show to have her made up this way.

She kind of reminds me of Margot Kidder.

Re: Pushing Daisies

It's airing again tonight at 8:00.

Between this and Chuck, looks like we've got some good new shows this year.
