Filming has barely begun for High School Musical 3 and already Disney Channel is trying to create buzz about a High School Musical 4!

However Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens already say NO!

That's not really surprising considering the plot of HSM3 involves the main characters preparing for college. Plus, Disney is making a point of introducing new younger characters in the next installment, no doubt with expectations to extend the franchise.

Not if Disney keeps hearing "cha-ching!" I'm very surprised at how lucrative their Disney Channel arm has become. And I have no real idea, but I would guess it's the old "small investment/high rate of return" formula they Disney is making on their teen stars and their multitude of projects (CDs, movies, DVDs, concerts, tie-ins, merchandising).
