I really like the idea of a new Transformers ride. But is it a Coaster or what?

E.T. is a great film and The Thing failed for whatever reason. Blaming E.T. isn't exactly good reasoning. It's fine if you don't like it but you're definitely in the minority.

But let's get back on topic here. Transformers ride will be awesome, but it's another nail in the coffin for Universal as a brand. It's becoming "Anyone who isn't Disney" Studios.

Minority? I know alot of people who don't like it and its pretty well known that tthe release was too close to The Thing.

Saying a movie sucks isn't the truth. You didn't like the movie, bravo but saying one of the most memorable highest-grossing movies sucks and that's the truth is rediculous

It doesn't matter. The people you know who do not like E.T. is not the majority. You can argue that The Thing is higher rated movie compared to E.T. and I would let you have that. But to say that the majority thinks that E.T. sucks, well... that's a flat out opinion and you're welcome to believe it but it's not the universal truth.

It's going to be a dark ride, somewhat similar to the Spider Man one in Orlando.

I hated MB's Transformers and have no reason to bother with the second one. However, I hope the ride is as good as Spider-man, but I wish Backdraft could stay. Even after Transformers opens, USH needs a couple of more E-Ticket rides.

Most BIG rides open spring/summer to attract the most tourists.

Looking forward to it whenever it opens! I almost wish it were opening 2013 just to put more pressure on Disney to start a phase two, and with the way Harry Potter did (when announced it had holiday 2009 as opening) that may be how it turns out.
