    Revenge of the Mummy (USH) improvement idea (You have any ideas?)

    As you Hollywooders know, ROTM is a fun ride, but pretty pathetic compared to Singapore and Florida. I know it's because of space issue but they seriously could have done a lot more with it! I remember a while back when the ride opened there was some article in the Daily News that showed the layout. There was a lot of room to make the coaster a bit longer! I'll post my ideas later, but I want to hear yours.

    P.S. If you do happen to come upon the track layout for ROTM Hollywood, could you post it on here please? Thanks! I've been looking all over for it and could not find it!

    There should be way more to look at on the roller coaster portion. Going through absolute darkness is not fun for me. At least Space Mountain has lights.
    Also, the hitting the wall scene is WAY too abrupt. They need to soften that up a bit.
    A helix would be a fun part of the ride with mummy's on the side screaming at you as you spin downward.
    Some fire would be cool.
    The last scene needs to be fixed and pronto. It is so boring now.
    I actually care less about being on a roller coaster, if the whole ride was more of a fast dark ride, I'd like it a bit more.

    It's always funny to hear people's reactions after the ending.
    I mostly hear and exaggerate "Okaaaaaay."

    The ride needs to be longer, need more effects during the coaster part, & change the horrid ending. Also for it to give me the feeling of excitement when in line for it, not just another ride to do at USH.

    I think the inside portion of the queue is pretty good. They even have that little interactive bit. And it gets pretty dark in there as well and I always get this scared vibe walking through like someone is going to pop out and scare me.

    However, the queue could use a bit more theme, as in make it look like a cave that's somehow in the middle of Universal Studios instead of a ride in a giant building.

    I'm pretty happy with the ride it is now. Yeah the dark ride part stink and the ending is boring and confusing, but I think the coaster part is fine, although I agree about slowing down the crash into the wall. Maybe they could add a video of Brandon Fraser there telling you to go back and then at the end of the ride you'll see him congratulating you on your survival. Not the most exciting ending, but at least it would make more sense in terms of the story.

    I'm okay with the queue too, but I hate that room with the video where the women just keep repeating Imhotep over and over. It is so annoying and the video is so short that you can't get out of that room without seeing it at least 3 times.

    BTW, dth316 are you on HHN Vault?

    It's not going to be longer, and I don't think there's any room to make the brake run into the wall any longer either, which is why it's so abrupt.

    What I don't understand is why they can't do the fire ceiling effect that Orlando has in the final room. That would be a much better ending.
    Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

    The other side of the wall where the midride stop is, is the wall facing Panda Express. The reason for no real fire, is the fire marshall wouldn't allow it in such a small space- Backdraft had a MUCH larger space envelope around it's fire area than Mummy would allow. Anybody saying that there's more room in there hasn't seen the inside of the building with the lights on.

    I've both walked through it AND ridden it with the lights on, they COULD do more with it. Obviously not add a whole scene but simple themeing details than the wooden plywood cutouts they have now. Heck they could add some UV vines to hang down from the top, add projection effects, there's lots they could do with that little space.

    Also I miss the old ending, with the eclipse. Before it wasn't so obvious that you were on a turntable, and the effect from being backwards to suddenly facing forwards was what really made me like USH's version.

    I agree with most everyone here. That ending has got to be changed. Maybe the whole room should rotate, so you don't know that its a turntable (same way that the elevator that is actually the stretching room doesn't seem like an elevator because the cieling doesn't move).

    Change the ending so it is even better than the original, like everyone else said.

    Add temple style walls with vines to the end hall so it isn't so anti-clematic and out of theme.

    Add audio animatronic mummies to the ride, as opposed to the cut outs, maybe some fog and fire effects, and dripping water.

    Here's what I'd do:

    1. In the scene where the guy warns you, "The curse lives!" Have an effect where projected scarabs are above you and on the walls beside you, racing to the guy on the projection scene. While the scarabs are eating him up, the car would go through a cloud of fog with projected images of scarab beetles dropping from the hole. There would be water drops designed to match the time of the projected scarabs to simulate the effect of scarabs dropping on you.

    2. In the treasure room, it would light up with a couple of small flames one on each side of the projected screen. Both held by Spyinx statues. Imhotep would use the same dialogue. As soon as he roars, a mummy warrior would pop out on each side of the car. The effect would be achieved by a piece of the floor flipping towards the figures so no one will suspect anything to pop out at them.

    3. The track will be a bit longer. one of the turns would be banked 90 degrees.

    4. In the scarab scene, the wall would crack when you "crash" into it. The scarabs would come out of the cracks and "attack" you. The backwards track will be a bit longer. One of them banked at 90 degrees.

    5. The ending will be different. You will go through a wall of green fog. The green fog will be "drifted" onto the screen. As your car rotates, Imhotep will tell you that nothing can stop him from getting out of the tomb. Suddenly, the eclipse clears up and lights up the pitch-black room. Imhotep blasts you with a fiery explosion before arriving back to the station.
